I quit shopping at Walmart and I only shop at HEB now. They have off-brand stuff that is cheaper than Walmart's off-brand stuff and they have good fruit and fresh vegetables and good meat and reasonably priced frozen meats. Yeah, it's my go-to store. I highly recommend it to everybody. Stop shopping at Walmart and go to HEB, especially this one

We moved here from Houston and the difference is beyond night and day: 1. beef is not fresh. It goes bad that day or next day. I was told that their ground beef was as fresh as it could- laughable 2. I’ve been sold expired products including: bakery goods, pork, pasta, drinks. How in the heck does this happen? I’ve NEVER had to check dates on grocery items in my life 3. produce is regularly out of stock and not of HEB quality. Get it together Derrick- order better! Where were the onions? Strawberries and dang potstoes …??? 4. canned goods are also regularly out of stock. How do you not order tomato paste??? This is supposed to be a $5 million + dollar store the General Manager and his store managers need to do better- even as simple as ordering correctly. I think our days regularly shopping here are done 😞 We love the area but this HEB is not representative of company standards.
- AWAngela WhiteheadOct 24, 20255.0I walked into THE HEB Bakery for a wedding cake. Not knowing you have to make an appointment. The Baker I spoke with gave a few suggestions. All I had were my wedding colors. What they did far surpassed my expectations. Now let’s talk about the taste. Over the years I’ve have fancy birthday cakes that were just pretty. This cake was beautiful and so moist it was unreal. Almost a week later and people are still asking where I got that cake from. I haven’t received my wedding photos but here is one someone took of the cake. For all your bakery needs go to HEB. I’ll try to update a better picture when they come in.
