    Ordered a family meal for Easter Brunch. It was the first time for 4 of us to try El Pollo Loco. We were all shocked how savory and juicy the chicken was!! The Mac n cheese is super creamy and felt like a comfort food. The corn was better than other Mexican food drive thrus. Nothing special about the Charro beans - they were good but not above par. Their flour and corn tortillas were fresh. Overall the food felt wholesome and tasted soooo good! I cannot believe we hadn’t tried this place before! I’ve got a coupon page from the paper and plan to try everything else on the menu. Hah!

    There has been a significant improvement in both service and quality, along with the stability of official prices. I had previously given a bad rating, but since things have changed for the better, I felt it necessary to update my review to reflect this improvement. Furthermore, there is a new and highly professional staff. I was truly surprised by their precision and speed—everything was ready within just three minutes. My thanks go to the management for their prompt response. Thank you. That’s my old review. The venue is wonderful, and the food is even better; however, the cashier—with her perpetually sour expression—makes you feel as though you are begging her for food, or that you are homeless. She is a petty individual who makes you loathe the place; she attempts to charge you more than the official price, and if you point out that she is overcharging you, you are treated even more poorly. (This refers to the cashier on duty at 7:00 PM on March 31, 2026.)

    My 1st time here. I ordered the Baja Shrimp with all 3 sauces. One of the best meals Ive ever had. It was a little pricey. But worth it.

    My fault for going to a chicken place for Baja shrimp tacos but man…. They need to be embarrassed for the disgraceful tacos they gave me. I almost bit into the hardest pieces of shrimp I have ever see in my entire life. No way! I sent it back immediately. Not risking food poisoning for those shrimp tacos. Even the drumstick 🍗 was so beyond basic flavored, the rotisseries at the grocery store have far beyond more flavor than what I had from this place. I will never return. The rice was edible- a 2/10. I could literally bang the shrimp on the table it was so hard. GROSSS!!!

    The food is good. However, the attention to basic details is being missed in a big way. Customers have to say their order twice or more and then get up to the window only to find the order is still wrong. Employees could benefit from some training on active listening. It would improve the customer experience and likely save them time by avoiding repeat work. Honestly, a basic order, especially when the restaurant isn’t busy, should not be this difficult. I will be back, but I hope some changes are made.
