Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Like so many other large restaurant chains, they now buy more ingredients from Sysco, which are cheaper, but inferior. This is also why chain restaurant food tends to taste more or less the same, have the same price models and menu items. Vulture capitalists ruin everything.
- CACapri AndersonOct 14, 20251.0I WISH I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS! I am currently on my cycle and was really craving a breakfast burger with honey butter ontop instead of the jalapeño sauce. I placed my order through door dash and there was no option to change the sauce. I called whataburger right after placing the order and kindly asked for honey butter sauce and that they could charge me. (I used to work at a restaurant with doordash and you can edit prices on the doordash order) I explained this to the dude and said i could only do it through my dasher (which is also not true because the dasher would need to pay out of pocket) I come here literally all the time and very disappointed with the dudes attitude towards this situation. I will not be coming back, and yall should really do better. As soon as the call ended i cancelled my order. :)
