Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Can't go wrong with a Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger with a large side of onion rings! Awesome staff, food gets served up fresh and fast, but be aware that it can get *busy* at times. The drive-through line may be long, but they're inside cooking up the meals with a quickness.

As soon as I pulled into the drive thru, I was directed to go to Lane B. I pulled into Lane B and waited for a little over six minutes. During this time, other customers in Lane A were ordering and receiving their food. I was asked to move to Lane B, but the drive-thru continued taking orders from Lane A the entire time.
Because of the delay, I eventually went inside. The cashier, Jacqueline C., was very passive when I asked why I had been told to move to Lane B, and she simply responded that she “didn’t know.” A manager then came out and explained that an employee’s tablet died, and when they were looking for me, they assumed I had driven off.
I did not want to come inside…if that were my preference, I would have done so from the beginning. I recommend improving communication and customer service training for employees to prevent situations like this in the future.
