- AMAaron Maher2 days ago5.0I needed cherry extract for a cherry cake recipe. As rare as it is to need cherry extract, not surprisingly, it can be like pulling teeth finding availability. It comes up in search but almost every vendor requires ship to home. I was impressed to find that HEB has it in stock and on this particular occasion, HEB in Hudson Oaks had it. I used the opportunity to get my dad out of the house and we made the 50-mile round-trip a leisurely one. After using this brand of extract, there is another cherry oil that I much prefer over this which gives a much more authentic, vibrant cherry flavor sold by Lorann Oils. I used to purchase it at Walmart but seems they've dropped the cherry for the other flavors. It's a bit more in cost with shipping but well-wirgh every penny.

I must have had a look of panic on my face because out of nowhere an HEB employee asks if I need help! My hero!! He found all 4 bottles and was so kind and helpful.
