This is my favorite restaurant right now! It’s perfect for big parties! We celebrate a party of 18 people & Isabel and the whole staff were AMAZING. They all worked as a team and we all were taken care of. Isabel went out of her way to make sure we all had a great time, from the food to the drinks and service I could not recommend this restaurant anymore. Thank you for such an amazing night!!! You have made so 17 more regulars!
I recently visited Yia Yia’s Pappas Kitchen to use a gift card after a prior negative experience at another Pappas location, and unfortunately, I left even more disappointed.
I clearly requested my steak to be cooked well done when placing my order. However, when the meal arrived, it was very rare. After cutting into it and noticing the pink center, I immediately informed the waiter, who took it back to the kitchen. What was unacceptable—and frankly unsanitary—was that the same piece of meat was brought back to me after being re-cooked. That approach raised serious concerns about food handling and hygiene.
The manager attempted to address the issue, but her response lacked professionalism and accountability. Instead of resolving the situation appropriately, she provided my guest with a complimentary dessert—despite the fact that I was the one with the issue—and still charged me for my meal. That decision made the situation even more frustrating.
At this point, I am extremely disappointed with the consistent decline in customer service across Pappas establishments. Customer satisfaction has clearly diminished over the years, including at the corporate leadership level, and the food is now overpriced for the quality and experience being delivered.
I paid for my meal with gift cards, but I will not be returning. I strongly encourage others to be mindful when choosing to patronize this corporation, as the overall experience no longer reflects the standards one would expect.
Forgot to take pics but ask for Gustavo & order the snapper and your night will be perfect!
I DO wish they would add carpet or something to the dining space so it is not so loud. But I say directly next to my husband and we could hear each other perfectly. Not sure if that would be the case if we had been in a big group.

I recently visited Yaya’s Kitchen in Houston, and while the ambience is absolutely beautiful, the food left me with mixed feelings.
From the moment you walk in, the space is calming and stylish—think sage and olive tones, black and white accents, a stunning marble entryway, and a soothing fountain depending on your entrance. The lighting fixtures add a unique touch, and the rounded seating areas make it a great spot for groups. Overall, the atmosphere is easily one of the restaurant’s strongest features.
For entrées, my husband ordered the beef shank, which was just okay on its own but paired nicely with the grains, adding a slightly sweet, textured flavor that elevated the dish. I ordered the lamb chops, and unfortunately, they were disappointing. For $59, the portion felt lacking, and much of what I received was overly fatty. Each bite required careful cutting to avoid large sections of fat, and overall, there was very little actual meat. It’s not something I would order again.
I did share my concerns with the manager, who acknowledged the feedback but didn’t offer a replacement or adjustment, which was a bit surprising. Since I was still hungry, I ordered the baklava for dessert. It was fairly standard—nothing particularly memorable—and came with a sorbet that had an unusual, somewhat processed texture.
I also tried a lemon drop martini, which was nicely presented but just average in taste.
All in all, Yaya’s Kitchen is a great place if you’re looking for a relaxing, aesthetically pleasing dining experience. However, based on this visit, the food didn’t quite match the ambiance. I might consider returning to try other dishes, but I’d skip the lamb chops.

Overall the food was really good but service needs improved. Felt like our server had too many tables and was hard to track down. The baked feta with house made pita was a good starter. The seafood on rice was good as well as the grilled octopus. It is a very loud restaurant due to its big open dining area so talking was a bit tough and annoying at times.
