Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I know the bar isn't very high as far as customer service when it comes to fast food, yet this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I ordered something very simple, a burger not even the whole meal. There was nobody behind me when I ordered in the Drive-Thru line. I get to the window, I give my card, and which I'm not even giving a receipt.. next thing you know, cars are starting to line up behind me. I am then told to pull up ahead... I noticed that 10 minutes has gone by... And that all of the cars behind me? Are now getting food and driving past me as I'm still waiting. Cars continue to keep going and leaving with their food... Mind you? When I got there and ordered, and even paid? There was nobody. I go inside and I ask what's going on, the person who accepted my payment then tells me that they lost my ticket.. I say okay and I go back out and continue to wait. It has now been 28 minutes. I go back inside.. and I have to wait for my burger inside. The manager comes and speaks to me, and tells me that they're making it... With a real attitude by the way. I work in a restaurant by the way.. and in all the time that I waited there which is practically 30 minutes? I could have ordered, had a well done steak (which I would never order well done, yet this is to emphasize that's something like that would take at most 15 to 18 to 20 minutes a sit in restaurant.) it's really ridiculous that nobody thought to come and tell me what was going on with my order... And then on top of that? To have an attitude about it. I finally get my burger, it's now been 30 minutes. No communication within the staff, and poor management from the manager. I go back inside, very Fed up yet still respectful. And then tell the cashier hey, I've been waiting for 30 minutes. Can you ask your manager to throw me some fries or something.. an employee goes to go and make the fries, and the manager then makes it a point to tell me, with the same attitude.. you're going to have to wait for those. She tells her employee that she wants to make sure that all the other orders get their fries before I even get one.. dude, I've already had to wait 30 minutes. I've had to come out of my car three times already.. had I not gone in there? I would have continued to just sit out there. And you're going to make me wait even longer?? The customer is not always right... I say that as somebody who works in service industry. Yet, with that being said? You don't rub salt in the wound when you've already messed up.. and on top of that? Have a real attitude about it. This was ridiculous. The manager needs to be trained again.. and the employees need to learn how to communicate, not just with each other but to the customers. I guess I can raise the rating of one star for consistency as far as the manager's attitude. If the GM happens to read this? I'd like you to know that whatever cashier you had working at 5:25? He was more accommodating and understanding than anybody else in that restaurant that I dealt with.

I got the steakhouse double and it was bigger than a whopper for the same price, felt higher quality. Fast and accurate.

Food was good and reasonable though the onion rings were burnt they still taste alright. The price was reasonable and the customer service was good. The only fault I find was the burnt onion rings that they sold me.

I had the worst experience I’ve ever had in my this morning at this restaurant. And it had nothing to do with the food. I was sexually harassed by a homeless patron. The staff is so nasty so hateful and in all honesty, completely racist in my personal opinion. Just according to my experience there today. I was called a Karen and made to feel like it was out of line to have boundaries and speak up for myself in a situation like that. I was ganged up on. It was disgusting. I’ll file a formal complaint and I will be getting with an attorney soon cause I do feel like some of my personal rights were violated by the staff.
