Extremely Poor Customer Service and No Refund!!
My wife and I had a very disappointing experience on Sunday March 15th around 4 pm at this Tropical Smoothie Cafe location (Eldridge and Briar Forest)
When we arrived, we waited about 20 minutes just to place our order. During that time, the two employees working were openly complaining and being rude with the customer ahead of us who had an issue with his order, they were speaking to him in a very rude and dismissive way.
When I finally received my smoothie, it tasted completely flavorless, as if it was missing ingredients or sweetener. I politely went back and asked if it could be remate before I even said anything the employee immediately said “yeah, yeah, no worries,” which gave the impression this may have already been a known issue.
He prepared another smoothie, and I even saw him taste it himself before handing it to me and he yelled to the other young lady "same thing" he knew it was flavorless, When I asked if it was better, his response was “I don’t know, you try it, you’ll drink it.” Unfortunately, the second smoothie tasted exactly the same — completely bland.
At that point I calmly requested a refund instead. I waited at the register for about 10 additional minutes, clearly waiting for assistance. When I approached the cashier again and explained that I needed to leave and simply wanted my refund, she responded “You’re going to have to wait. Next time go to Smoothie King.” I just remain quiet and waited...
I waited longer, but they continued ignoring me. When I asked again for help, the other employee raised his voice and told me I needed to wait, creating an uncomfortable and confrontational situation, he didn't let me talk...
The most concerning part of this experience is that I never received the refund I requested, despite the smoothie being incorrect and despite waiting a significant amount of time.
Mistakes can happen in any business, and they were probably frustrated as they had an issue with the previous custome, but the lack of professionalism, disrespect toward customers, and refusal to resolve a simple refund is unacceptable.
I sincerely hope corporate management reviews this location’s customer service practices, because this experience reflects very poorly on the brand.
Is not about the $9 I didn't get back, it's about customer servie.
