- MMMiles7965 days ago1.0Appetizers were great. Waiting 2 hours after that to get our main course was not. They didn’t even take our main order until we were completely done with appetizers and we had to ask if we could order. When the main course finally came out every steak was way overdone. Like well done overdone and everyone had ordered medium-medium rare. On top of it the tip was automatically applied for us. Premium tip for sub-par service. A very disappointing $1400 dinner.

Hostess was incredible and our server took great care of us with some quick draw recommendations. Nice setting with a view of downtown. Quiet, which was perfect for catching up with an old friend. We got sushi, apps and a steak. All of it was awesome. Short rib tacos were awesome. The Angry Scorpion Roll was my personal fav. Can't go wrong.

Here's what we (2 diners) had: Guacamole dip with corn chips and plaintains (don't miss out on this starter) Lomo Saltado (I had no idea what this dish would be, but it is delicious. You might not get a chance to find it elsewhere in HTX) Bone-in Beef Rib (omg best tasting beef) Heirloom Carrots tres Leches La Bomba juniper and tonic Casablanca Negroni Decaf coffee I recommend ordering anything on our list. It is all 5 Star quality. The La Bomba was a unique experience in how it was presented. Be aware that it can easily feed more than 1 person. Toro Toro is an excellent restaurant for downtown dining. Getting in and out of $8 valet parking was easy. Be sure to remember asking the hostess to validate your valet ticket. I look forward to going back to try other items on the menu.
