  I recently remodeled my house and had no way to heat food, so I ordered from New York Butcher Shop expecting to pick up dinner a couple days later. They were incredibly kind — they offered to hold my order, heat everything fresh the day I needed it, and have it ready for pickup. That personal touch meant so much to my family during a hectic time. I’ve ordered their crab cakes, which were perfect and delicious, and their pot roast, which was incredibly moist and flavorful. Their sautéed vegetables are fantastic, and I absolutely love the salad too. Everything has been top-notch. Highly recommend — the food is great, but the service is what makes this place special.

  Wow! Finally a real butcher shop in town, quality beef not from the "grocery store" mass produced but proper humane beef without the additives and fillers and the prepared food is a game changer. I'll pay a couple dollars more to live longer. Thany you!

  Knowing the owner for many years, my wife and I stopped by the "New York Butcher Shoppe - Tanglewood" in Houston today. We live about 40 miles away, but wished that the shoppe was closer to us. The meat counter was superb, the variety of prepared meals was great and the other selections were all well thought out. We'd recommend that you make the trip there.

  Maybe I should have tried the steaks. I grabbed some premade meals, chicken parm, chicken vodka pasta and a chicken pesto. The pesto had a weird burnt taste. We ate the chicken but threw the rest away. The pasta with vodka sauce was decent. The chicken parm was so salty that we threw it away. I also don’t know why the iPad prompts a tip at a butcher shop. Happy to tip when someone is helping me, but I literally just grabbed some meals from the cooler and paid.
