We just had an absolutely lovely dinner, food and service were both great. Our waiter Scott was really wonderful, like above and beyond in service and just kindness and care! (Also loved the NYC connect, he’s from Brooklyn :) I have food allergies and the restaurant took exceeding care to make sure my meal was delicious and safe. The general manager and bar manager David both also took the time to check in and see how our meal and our evening was, just because. Truly a wonderful experience, look forward to returning.

I chose Mastro's Steakhouse to celebrate my 50th birthday, traveling from Dallas with several out-of-town guests for what should have been a special milestone. Unfortunately, the experience ended in frustration and disappointment. At the end of the evening, my birthday cards—containing monetary gifts and deeply sentimental messages—were left on the table and were taken by a member of the staff. When I reported this, management, including General Manager Samuel Owens, was dismissive and initially claimed that video footage showed nothing. I had to provide my own photos proving the cards were on the table. Only after repeated follow-ups and filing a report with the Houston Police Department did the restaurant say the cards may have been located. I was even told by the Director of Security that they hoped to have a resolution by Monday—yet I received no follow-up. The lack of urgency, accountability, and basic customer care is unacceptable—especially for a restaurant that presents itself as upscale. What should have been a memorable celebration turned into a stressful situation that required unnecessary escalation. I would not recommend this location based on how this situation was handled.

We had an incredible experience at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Houston celebrating my wife Emma’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth, welcoming, and well taken care of. We were dining with our three kids, and the team handled it effortlessly—no stress, no awkward moments, just a great atmosphere from start to finish. A special thank you to Elycia, our server, who truly elevated the night. She was attentive without hovering, patient with our family, and made sure everything came out exactly as we needed. She helped keep the flow of the evening relaxed and enjoyable, which made a big difference for us. The food was outstanding. The Chilean sea bass and lobster were perfect, the ribeye was cooked exactly right, and the sides were all spot on. Even the kids were happy and engaged the entire time, which says a lot. What stood out most was how seamless the entire experience felt. We were able to relax, enjoy the evening, and focus on celebrating without having to think about anything else. Thank you to Elycia and the entire team for making this such a memorable night for our family. We’ll definitely be back.

So let me tell you about my experience at Mastros… The bartender Nia was fantastic in every way possible! Her menu knowledge, drinks and conversation were all astronomical. I not only fell in love with her drinks, but her smile and the restaurant too. I was never a brussel sprouts kind of guy until I met her when I sat at the bar. She turned me onto an entirely new side dish. Then the steakd were out of this world! I got a ny strip medium rare and devoured the entire thing along with the brussel sprouts and mac&cheese. Not to mention that I love scotch, Nia taught me about a new scotch cocktail called a Godfather & boy did I enjoy this experience. I rate Mastros a 100/10 and 90% comes from miss Nia the bartender! I even stayed slightly after closing just having conversation with her since I enjoyed my time so much!

I was part of a 6 person group to celebrate a friend's birthday Mar 15 at 7pm. Myself one other person had dined at Maestro's before. I have never dined here but I have been to the location near The Woodlands and I had an amazing experience for Valentine's Day. The food was great the ambiance was great however what made our experience less than subpar was our server. She was a younger server I believe named Alicia. She did initially give her name and suggested cocktails from the menu. She was pleasant initially. It was 30 mins in and she still hadn't come back with our drinks or the bread she offered. The bread came about an hour after we were sat. It was close to 9:00p at this point and we still had not ordered our food had a very immature attitude we felt the entire time. By the time we got our food it was after 9 close to 9:30. She poured my friends drink from her cocktail mixer in my drink. And we had two different cocktails. So she mixed my drink. Didn't offer to bring me a fresh drink from the bar. But I didn't mention it. We all had one entree and shared 5 sides. At some point while we're all talking at the table the wait staff had completely cleared the table and tossed all of our sides. Keep in mind that my side alone was $45 Each one of us were spending min $200 per person and we were not expecting that type of service. After we eventually just got fed up of the poor service we asked for a manager just to express the frustrations that we had individually with our waitress. She was even more hostile after the fact and never returned for the last hour of our dining experience the manager was able to at least waive the tip that was required per check. I did leave her $15. The manager handled our grievances well and he had our sides made fresh and we greatly appreciated his empathy. Her poor attitude does not reflect how we feel about Maestros we will definitely still be returning
