Amazing breakfast buffet! The chicken chilaquiles and sirloin were outstanding as main dishes, and the dessert table was incredible. The hot chocolate was rich and delicious, and the cheese flan, mini alfajores, and tres leches were absolute highlights—such a treat. I’d highly recommend it for a special occasion or even just a fun, indulgent brunch.

This time sat at bar for drinks only. Juan the bar tender...absolutely AMAZING! Friendly and knowledgeable! Makes a Dayum great MARTINI!!! YUMMY!!!! He was willing to "SURPRISE" me with a special created drink. He claimed he made it "just for me" that may or may not be true...but it made me feel special and appreciated! Had a great time !!!! Will definitely go back and eat next time....The food looked really good...but again that night, only had drinks at the bar.

Maybe I chose the wrong dishes, but I wasn't impressed. I come from Western NY which is not exactly known for Mexican food and thus have fairly low standards (though we have the most amazing Mexican restaurant in the boonies around here). I tried a few appetizers and all were good, nothing mindblowing. For my entree, I had the brisket enchiladas in mole sauce. The mole sauce was OK but in the sauce, I could actually taste the cream / fat more than the mole itself. The churros desert looked better on the menu than it ended up being.

Hugo’s is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston Couldn’t stop thinking about the plantain empanadas since then I didn’t even get to take a picture of them bc that’s how good they were. 🤤 I would regularly come back here just for them Also the ceviche was so fresh and juicy and visually unique. Would definitely see me soon for those empanadas

First time at Hugo’s a few weeks ago, and it was amazing. The tortillas themselves were great, but our dinner was even better. Started off with the octopus, chips & salsa, and the plantains. Those did not disappoint, to include the carne asada and the duck. Special shoutout to the staff there (I forgot my waiter’s name unfortunately! He was AWESOME and everything we got was based off his recommendations). Would love to visit again when I’m in the area!
