This restaurant is exceptional in every way. The ambiance feels like a larger and more modern take on a Greek taverna. Spotless, modern, warm and dim lighting. The server (Charles) was deferential, attentive but not too attentive, quick to respond/react, and polite. Did a good job managing allergies. Same interaction I had with other staff members. The food was just ... man. I cannot recall a better meal in Houston in recent memory, and if you know the Houston food scene, that is saying a lot. Every dish offered substantial textural and flavor profile depth. There was not a thing we were served that wasn't absolutely delicious and complex and flavorful. We shared the hummus, spanakopita, meatballs, and another dip as appetizers, had a few Old Fashioneds, salmon as my entree with spinach, ancient grains, and gigantes as sides. All were just superb, the salmon filet was so flavorful and perfectly textured, and the gigantes were just like they made them in a little Greek village on Crete where I had them for the first time. It was a business dinner but all agreed we would return with our families. What a wonderful experience. Chef's kiss.

Service was really lovely (Charles). The ambiance is nice, a bit loud, but nice. The food was very good. Great flavors! Coffee was great. The cheesecake which is their signature dessert was ok. Taste more like a churro flavor. Would for sure have just the baklava next time.

A very upscale version of the original Yiayia's . With both traditional Greek as well as some innovative twists. A Greek salad with leafy greens. The wine list is exceptional with two great Greek sparkling wines which are difficult to find in the US. All of the staff are very well trained to NYC level professionalism. Delicious food and a wonderful dining experience.

The energy was absolutely ELECTRIC inside of Yiayia's. The food? TO DIE FOR. I got the pasta lena and my mom got the lamb shank. Best, juiciest lamb I've ever had. Our main dishes did take a bit long to come out, but the manager noticed, apologized for the delay AND comped our appetizers. It was a bit noisy because everyone was talking, but i think environments like this make the meal feel more intimate with your group because everyone has to raise their voices, lol. My favorite thing about Yiayia’s, besides the food, is the feeling of being inundated by Greek culture. There was Greek music playing, Greek art, photos of landscapes that made you feel like you are across the Atlantic and not in Houston. I am absolutely bringing more people here. Cannot believe it's only been open 3 months. The pricing was proportionate to how amazing the food was. You're paying for a spectacular experience.
