I have not been to Willie G’s in many years. This evening my wife and I made reservations and were seated promptly. The waiter finally came by our table and seemed annoyed we were seated at a 4-top. He cleared off our place settings and walked away. About 5 min later he came and got a drink order. He then never returned. After sitting there for about 30min we got up and left. Had to pay for valet and left cash for our drinks. Will never be back.

Unmerry Christmas
We had Christmas Day reservations, which proved meaningless. When we arrived, 50–75 people were crowded into the entryway and spilling outside with no system, communication, or crowd control.
The hostess was rude and offered no updates. Elderly guests were forced to stand for over 45 minutes in 82-degree weather. The buffet food was dry and overcooked, clearly left out too long.
Poor planning and lack of basic hospitality turned what should have been a festive meal into a frustrating experience. We left and went elsewhere. A reservation—especially on Christmas—should mean something.

I visited Willie G's this afternoon for their Christmas Buffett, and at $69, it was a great experience. There was an impressive variety of options from appetizers and entrees to sides and desserts and everything I tried was good.
The food stayed fresh and was constantly being replenished, which made a big difference. They even had a prime rib carving station and sushi selections, which really elevated the spread. It was the perfect way to spend Christmas 🎄 enjoying great food without having to prepare it myself. I would absolutely do this again.

@Landry’s @Landry’s Select Rewards @Willie G’s Management
I’m a Landry’s Select member of over 15 years, and this experience has been extremely disappointing.
After my visit to Willie G’s on December 11, my $119.08 bill was incorrectly deducted from my $250 Landry’s Select rewards balance, leaving $75, which is mathematically incorrect. Multiple rewards were applied without my authorization. I explained this clearly in emails and phone calls.
As of December 18, no one from Willie G’s or Landry’s management has contacted me. Instead, an automated $25 reward was added, which completely misses the issue. This was never about a single reward — it’s about misused rewards and incorrect point deductions that still have not been fixed. My points continue to change with no explanation.
I’ve contacted the restaurant, spoken to management, and emailed corporate with no meaningful response. For a hospitality company of this size, the lack of accountability is unacceptable.
I’m sharing this publicly because private attempts to resolve the issue have gone unanswered.

Willie G’s has all the ingredients to be an excellent restaurant—great food, a strong happy hour menu, and a beautiful, upscale setting. The oysters are consistently large and fresh, the alligator bites are tender, and the drinks are strong and well-made. On food and atmosphere alone, this place should be an easy recommendation.
Unfortunately, the service has been disappointing enough to overshadow everything the kitchen does well. On both of my recent visits, I was seated with the same waitress, and the experience was consistently poor. She took an excessive amount of time to greet us, take our order, and check in throughout the meal. There was no sense of urgency, very little warmth, and we often had to call her over just to get basic service. Even more concerning, we watched her serve tables that arrived after us before acknowledging ours. I don’t want to assume intent, but the pattern is unacceptable in any dining environment—especially one positioned as upscale.
I returned a second time hoping the first visit was a fluke. It wasn’t.
The disappointment didn’t stop at the table. When we were leaving, valet was rude and insisted we pay—even though we were leaving before happy hour ended and none of the guests ahead of us were being charged. We were told to walk across the street to the car, despite every other car being brought up right next to the entrance. It felt inconsistent at best and targeted at worst. That interaction alone left a sour final impression.
The hosts have also been noticeably cold and unwelcoming on both visits. While that may not be intentional, it adds to an overall atmosphere that feels indifferent to guests who don’t “look” like high spenders. Whether that assumption is true or not, the impact on the experience is the same: it makes the restaurant feel uninviting.
At this price point, I expect service that matches the quality of the food. Instead, the service repeatedly falls far short. After giving Willie G’s multiple chances, I’m disappointed to say that I will not be returning.
Would give 0 stars if I could. I suggest that nobody go to Willie G’s.
