I had an amazing experience at Willie G’s Seafood, and our server Yessica truly made the night special.
From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly warm, attentive, and patient. She explained the menu so clearly and in such a helpful way that it actually made deciding what to order easy. You can tell she really knows the menu and genuinely cares about making sure guests have a great experience.
We honestly weren’t ready to order the first several times she checked on us, and she never made us feel rushed or pressured. Instead, she stayed kind, patient, and professional the entire time. That level of hospitality is rare and really stood out.
Throughout the meal she checked on us regularly, made sure everything was perfect, and kept such a positive energy the whole time. Service like that can completely change a dining experience, and Yessica absolutely delivered.
If you visit Willie G’s, ask for Yessica. She is phenomenal and truly one of the best servers I’ve had anywhere.

Unfortunately we had a business dinner at this location. Food was good but service was sub par. we left 15% gratuity. However someone added an additional $60.00 when they ran the amount to the corporate credit card. I contacted the restaurant to assist with the issue and the manager "George" told the person who answered the phone he does not deal with that and to call corporate." So I asked for the best number to call. "I don't have that". I asked again to speak with George and was placed on hold for 25 minutes. I will not recommend anyone dine at this restaurant.
I wrote this review 5 days ago and here was the response: "Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. It means so much when our customers share their experience, and we are glad we were able to meet your expectations! We hope to see you again soon!” …….. they didn’t even acknowledge the problem and doubt they even read it …. I still have a great rating,, but now I am changing it. …… HERE is my original review >>>>>>>>>> I hope they read it this time >>>>>>>>> ….I’ve been eating at Willie G’s for nearly 30 years …. The food is consistently excellent. It’s the perfect balance … like a fine dining lunch …. and also an upscale dinner. I wish people respected this restaurant as it should be respected, but they don’t …. so it is up to the management and host to make sure it is. Please do a better job, when I bring guests from out of town, it’s a little embarrassing that this type of dress is allowed when the dress code CLEARLY states different. These photos are only from my last 2 visits, but it is EVERY SINGLE TIME i go in there. Please do better and respect your intended clientele. Oh, and the guy wearing a black hoodie ….. was wearing HOUSE SHOES.

My wife and I are passionate about dining out. It's our thing, especially on special occasions when we like to treat ourselves to upscale restaurants. We've been to many places of similar caliber such as Eddie V's, La Griglia, Little's Oyster Bar, Morton's, Steak 48, and Truluck's, to name a few. We understand that things happen and no experience is always perfect. However, we do hold high expectations at restaurants of this level, because that's exactly what you're paying for.
This was our first time at Willie G's, and unfortunately, our waitress fell short by a significant margin.
I wouldn't say her attitude was bad, but it certainly wasn't up to par for the caliber of restaurant we chose to dine at. She would take a very long time to check on us, walking right past our table without so much as asking if we needed anything. I understand that sometimes staff can be short-handed, but at a restaurant of this level, management should ensure that doesn't happen, and it was clear there was no shortage of servers on the floor. In fact, we received better service from the bus staff clearing tables. They were the ones who actually brought us items we never received from our waitress.
My food arrived well before my wife's, and I'm not talking a couple of minutes. She had to wait at least 15 minutes after I was served. I was nearly finished with my meal before hers even hit the table. We don't believe in letting our food get cold waiting on each other, so that made for an awkward dining experience.
But what really topped it off was the bread situation. We were expecting some kind of bread or appetizer to start, as you'd get at nearly every other restaurant at this price point. It appeared Willie G's doesn't offer that, so we ordered garlic bread. Our waitress never put the order in. When we asked about it 20 minutes later, she apologized and said she forgot. Then she never put it in the second time either. We never got our garlic bread.
This was Friday night before Valentine's Day. My wife and I intentionally chose to go out the night before to avoid the crowds and enjoy a better experience. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as planned, and that's truly disappointing.
We're confident we would have had a much better experience at any number of the thousands of other great options Houston has to offer.
The food itself was great. I'll give credit where it's due. But my advice to the management team: please pay closer attention to your front-of-house staff. Servers need to be focused, courteous, and attentive. Their job is to make people's dining experiences great and memorable, not like ours.
We won't mention our server's name because regardless of our experience, we don't want to get anyone in trouble. In fact, we still left a solid 15% tip, even though the service was more in line with 5 to 10 percent. We always leave 20%, but unfortunately, this experience didn't warrant it.

We really enjoyed the service and food at Willie G's for Valentines. We had the Fried calamari and Crab cakes as appetizers. Both were really good. The Calamari is served with 2 sauces. The Crab cakes are served with the sauces on the plate and several crab fingers. Really good. We had the "Actual Surf & Turf" meal. Not what is being shown on Instagram. We had them add Crab meat and shrimp on top of the steak. It was really good. The waiter was nice and friendly. She informed us of all the options for each meal. I really appreciate it. We will be returning in future. Thanks for your services.
