Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The food quality at this particular location is always fresh and good. However, they do stay pretty busy and sometimes they may forget items in your order, so always double check. Other than that, it's a decent Whataburger to eat at.

Drive-thru employee greeted and talked abruptly to me. Struggled to answer basic questions about menu items. I asked him for extra napkins twice, each time getting a confounded look each time, before affirmation of request. Upon receipt food and looking in my bag, there were only two skimpy napkins. He closed the window and took the next order b4 I could ask him a 3rd time. I honked twice at the window and was not acknowledged. So I stayed parked in front of it, eating my burger. I was nearly done with it when another car pulled up behind me. I knew he'd have to acknowledge me by then. He opened the window and asked, "Can I help you." I said, "Yeah, I'm still waiting for my extra nalmins." They were right in front of him when he gave them to me. He was high on something or just lazy, rude and didn't want to interact with people.

Convenient that they are open 24 hours, but be aware that only the drive-thru is available. The service was quite slow, which made the wait frustrating. The food was just okay at best. I ordered the breakfast sausage sandwich and hash browns; unfortunately, the potatoes were mushy and the sausage biscuit was so dry it was hard to swallow. Not the best Whataburger experience.
