Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported poor and unprofessional service, with specific complaints about rude staff and long wait times.
Food Quality
There were mixed reviews on food quality, with some praising hot and fresh meals while others complained about cold food and incorrect orders.
Cleanliness
Several reviews mentioned cleanliness issues, including dirty restrooms and unsanitary conditions.
Speed of Service
Customers frequently noted slow service, particularly during busy hours, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction.

Idk what it is with the locations on the south side. They cannot get an order right to save their life. I order the same thing every time and 100% of the time it's missing something or multiple things. I order a burger without the bun and every time they are missing 2-3 of the toppings or sauces. They forget bacon 100% of the time. It's not complicated it's 1 meal for 1 person. This last time they said they didn't put utensils because they thought I was just going to eat with my hands. If I could put notes on my order with step by step instructions I would.

I attempted to use a gift card, after a bad swipe they refused to type the number in. I checked, the card is fine. Paid, got to the window and asked for some ketchup, I was met with rolled eyes and asked to pull forward. She closed the window on me. Once I got my food, the lady walked up to my car and just dropped the food in my window without looking and walked off. One of the most rude fast food interactions I've had in a long time. I'll be avoiding this Whataburger in the future.
EDIT: the got my burger completely wrong as well.

The hispanic guy with glasses working the shift on this Sunday morning at 6am at the window/asking what i want to eat is extremely unprofessional. He yelled at me for asking me to repeat my order DESPITE him being aggressive and inattentive in the first place. I go to this location frequently and I’ve never dealt with this before. Upon requesting what I was asking for, he cut me off and told me to come to the window. Lastly, I ordered the sweet and spicy whatawings and there was hardly any sauce. I have no clue what his issue with me was but it was weird. Hopefully he doesn’t talk to everyone like that

Genuinely one of the worst whataburgers in Houston. Fries are always cold, always give the wrong drink, always forget something in your order, etc. Take a couple extra minutes to venture to another whataburger 😬
