Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported long wait times, often exceeding 30 minutes, for their orders, which is not typical for fast food.
Food Quality
While some customers enjoyed the food, others noted issues with freshness and incorrect orders, leading to dissatisfaction.
Staff Attitude
Feedback indicated a mix of friendly and rude staff interactions, with some customers experiencing unprofessional behavior from management.
Cleanliness
Several reviews mentioned cleanliness issues, particularly in the dining area and with food preparation.

All 4 combos were made correct and were fresh! It took a little longer than expected because it wasn't that busy. (it took about 10 minutes in the drive thru to get our food). Otherwise the service was great!

I want to thank this location, this was my first time having Whataburger, and I'm thoroughly impressed. While the burger was a tad drier than I'm used to, the other toppings more than made up for it. The fries were just how I like them, not too crisp and not too soft, and the use of finer salt than most places ensured each fry was nice and evenly salted. I want to repeat myself and thank everyone at this location, not just for good service, but for providing a good experience on the eve of a major holiday. I salute y'all!

I don't think we're coming here again. This is supposed to be fast food. We were sitting there for over 30 minutes waiting for 4 meals, and others were waiting too. Some gentleman had been standing in line so long, he pulled a chair over so he could sit. Someone else complained their order was wrong. I don't know if there were prioritizing mobile orders, or if there was no manager, or what. But this is not up to par with typical Whataburger standards.

I ordered take-out at approximately 10:15 through the mobile app. The restaurant had a moderate line at the drive-thru, but it took nearly ten minutes of staring down employees at the food prep stations to get anyone to acknowledge me. Service was cordial but left me with the distinct feeling that they were annoyed at having to talk to me in person rather than going through the drive-thru.
