Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times in the drive-thru, with some experiencing waits of over 40 minutes.

To place an online order at 4:50am and get to the restaurant during the time slot it says it will be ready 5:00-5:03am. I sat in the drive thru until 5:20am. Get to the window only to get told that they are still waiting on the order to be finished. Call myself placing the order early to avoid being late for work but placing an order early didn’t help this situation at all. Only to receive my food at 5:25. Once I receive my order hash browns overcooked. Knew a disappointment would be coming. Smmfh

Donna truly sets the standard for excellent leadership and customer service. Every time I visit, she is professional, attentive, and clearly cares about both the customers and her team. She runs the store smoothly, handles situations calmly, and always makes sure orders are correct and customers are satisfied. You can tell she takes pride in her work and leads by example. Employees seem motivated and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Whataburger is lucky to have a manager like Donna she makes a real difference.

I placed an online order at Whataburger to avoid the wait, but still ended up waiting around 45 minutes in the drive-thru. By the time I got my food, it was cold, which was really disappointing. This isn’t the first time I’ve had slow service at night here, so I definitely think management needs to step up. I’d encourage anyone in the same boat to call corporate for a full refund—you shouldn’t have to pay for food that’s not up to par.
