Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This is my go to fast food restaurant if I'm Houston so that I can get a burger and fries on the go. The burgers are tasty and a great size, and the fries are cooked perfectly. If you see one while you're in Houston stop by and try it and you'll see why there's usually always a line.
- JSJayda SFeb 6, 20261.0I’m not even going to comment on the extremely long wait times every single time I go here, because I actually like this place. However, this woman right here CLEARLY hates her job. There are two lanes: A and B. In each lane there are lines that separate the cars. I was parked in lane B on the second box because there was a car in front of me (it took 10 minutes for that car to receive their order btw and it wasn’t a big order). The lady FINALLY took the payment of the first car, then stepped behind said car and stared at me for at least 15 seconds with a huge attitude on her face. I gestured “did you want me to pull up?” And she nodded with such snark that you’d think I punched her mother. When I pulled up, she had an even bigger attitude and repeated my order to me in the rudest way and snatched my card from me to pay. She then walked back inside the building give me a DEATH GLARE the entire way. Dude if you hate your life so much, and get irritated so easily, don’t work in fast food! And the thing is- I’ve been parking this way for MONTHS. I say in my box while the other cars stay in their box! No other person has treated me this way, and I see this woman ALL the time!!
