It is the only bar in Texas, and one of the only in the country, where imbibers can access a Wine Spectator Grand Award-winning wine list in an environment where the wine, not the food, is the focus. Moreover, the fact that every server here has some type and level of sommelier certification makes Stella's, yes, an ideal place to drink wine, but also an ideal place to learn more about it in a manner accessible to and appropriate for neophytes and vinophiles alike. Here, it is vinum gratia vini. Here, as Petronius wrote, "wine is life." For lovers of wine, what could be better?
