Had a wonderful experience the bread was fresh and tasted good. It tasted like a whole wheat bread (and while not my personal favorite it was still good). I had a nice 12 oz steak good to a perfect medium rare. The sides were phenomenal with a baked potato and a smoked mac and cheese my dinner was fantastic.

We planned an in-town staycation and chose Saltgrass Steak House for dinner. This was my first time dining here. We started at the bar, and while it did take the bartender a few minutes to acknowledge us, once she did, the service was fine for the rest of the evening—nothing standout, but nothing terrible either. The ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. It had a casual steakhouse vibe that made it easy to unwind and enjoy conversation without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Definitely a laid-back setting. For dinner, she ordered the filet with mashed potatoes, and I had the bone-in ribeye with a baked potato. I went with the Caesar salad, while she chose the garden salad. I had a White Cosmopolitan, which was good, and she ordered a drink I can’t quite remember—so it must’ve done its job 😄. The star of the night was the steak. My ribeye was cooked exactly how I requested—medium well—and it was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, it was a solid first visit. The food delivered, the atmosphere was easygoing, and while the service started a little slow, it improved. Not an unforgettable experience, but a dependable option when you’re in the mood for steak without the fuss.

The food was average at best, nothing special. The service was very poor. The servers seemed completely distracted and confused, mixing up orders and forgetting basic things. It honestly felt like they were not fully present or paying attention at all. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

We always come to this location. Decided not to cook and go here for Christmas Eve. They were able to accommodate us as we didn't have a reservation. The table they sat us (in the adjacent building) had a few crumbs on it--didn't feel clean. Also the atmosphere felt really gloomy. You would not have known it was Christmas other than a few poinsettias. C'mon Saltgrass there were so many missed opportunities, both inside and outside, that could have really made this a fun, welcoming festive atmosphere--a place where people are standing in line to get in! The food was okay, not as good as we normally get. I ordered a medium well and a got a true medium bordering on medium rare steak, rubber fat edges instead of the nice charred edge I'm accustomed to on my t-bone. Hubby's steak was perfect. The smoked mac was DEVINE! OMG! The carrot cake, by FAR made up for the steak. I'm still eating on it two days later. That is how big the cake was. Definitely homemade--not so sweet. The cream cheese frosting was absolutely heavenly with a slight lemony twist--OMG! Soooooo freaking good!!!!!! The highlight of our evening was Nathan our waiter. He was so attentive and kind and kept checking on us. I would've told him about my steak being under cooked, but I am certain they couldn't do anything about that as I already had put blue cheese on top--so not certain if they would have been able to put it back on their grill. The staff here is always friendly. But Saltgrass you do need to work on the interior a bit, it is really starting to age. At least for the holidays, put up some lighted birch branches. This doesn't take up much space, hang lights and lots of greenery from the ceilings and corners. Did I mention Christmas lights? If you added these few touches people would line up out the door. Give it that Christmas lodge/cabin feel. Especially outside patio could have had lots of holiday spirit to welcome people in. Oh, forgot to mention the tropical sangria is OUTSTANDING!

Skip this location. Poor food / Poor service / Poor customer service. We will not be returning to this location and will not recommend it to anyone. We’ve been eating at Saltgrass for 15ish years (Landry card holders) and have never had this kind of service at any of their locations. To be a little fair. They were busy in their banquet rooms. I heard 50 persons in one and 40 in the other...and that the kitchen was hopping. But to be even more fair to the customer, that doesn't excuse doing a crappy job in your restaurant. It you can't do both, close one side or the other to avoid reviews like this. We started off with the Bourbon bacon… as one of us hates pickled anything, I asked for the pickled onions to be put on the side which means NOT on the plate. It comes out with the pickled onions on the plate coating the underside of the bacon with pickle juice. I explained that this won’t do since it needs to be completely off the plate. The waiter apologized, took it back and was back out shockingly fast (like 3 mins) so we know it was just refired… I checked it, it didn’t smell like pickle juice, the refire seared it away, so we let it ride. Next was my husband’s Pat’s Ribeye, with Oscar topping, medium-rare… this came out looking like road kill. It wasn’t even like one solid piece but a beat up half masticated hunk of 60% fat. We literally poked at it from every side and kept hitting nothing but fat. He wanted steak not a hunk of fat. The waiter came over and said he’d bring a manager. While we were waiting for the manager, I gave my husband a bite of my blackened red fish and that’s when we noticed that after waiting for 35-45 minutes for our meal, my fish was barely warm. What the heck? If we’re waiting that long, it should come out piping hot right? At this stage, my husband and I decided we weren’t going to wait another 35-45 minutes for them to refire our entire meals and that’s what we told the manager when he came over. He was evidently cheesed that we weren’t staying, telling us that he’d already started the steak refire. When we said we were done, he snatched up the plates, like we’d done something wrong to him or were eating away at the food while complaining about it or something. Mind you, there was ONE bite out of the fish and NOTHING out of the steak so we weren’t pulling shenanigans. I don’t even think he bothered to apologize. We paid the check for $25.31 I think for the Bourbon bacon and two iced teas... left 40% tip cause the waiter did deliver food and drink. Look. we’ve both worked restaurants and can see where shit went south. Waiter - probably didn’t bother requesting pickled onions on the side, he surely didn’t make sure it was correct before delivering the first time. Waiter / Kitchen? (not sure who) - lukewarm at best red fish, same with the fried asparagus (oh ya I had one spear) Kitchen - road kill steak… we’ve received better steaks from a Denny’s special. Manager - surly attitude because we weren’t about a full meal refire. Honestly, he didn't even look like the manager when he came to the table... he looked more like he was in the kitchen coming out. I don't know. Maybe he was short staffed and had to work it out? I've seen that before. either way, the surly attitude did not give manager feelings. The waiter let us know as we were closing up, that the lady directly behind me also got cold fish. Oh and the kicker — on the receipt they listed my husband's steak refund as ‘didn't like it’. Are you kidding me? It was mostly fat - everywhere we poked, we hit fat, and the steak wasn’t even in a single continuous piece and literally looked like something run over by a tire. Jeeesh. The how much we spent on the meal should read $100+ for two, but with all the food taken off that we didn't want to refire, it as about $25.00 for two. I'm actually not sure what to put there. I wish we'd taken pictures of that steak... it was something I tell you.
