Yes the prices are a little more than HEB on average, but they have a lot of products you can't get at HEB, including some of their bakery specific items like their Heath bar cookies (which are my favorite cookie of all time!!!) and for the record the randalls brand mozzarella sticks are way better than the HEB brand, as well as several other "signature select" items that are just simply superior. It's also a generally much more private shopping experience than HEB, so when I don't feel like dealing with crowds I go to Randall's and I can get everything I need. Also, I like the staff better at Randall's. They just are nicer, and seem to like their jobs better.

The cashier at self-checkout, an Asian American lady, completely messed up my order by scanning it as partial paid. She clearly had no clue what she was doing. Because of this mistake, I lost a $40 tip — money that came straight out of my pocket due to their error. The staff apologized a few times but then suggested I pay out of pocket to fix it. Absolutely not — it was their fault, and Randall’s should take responsibility for their own mistakes. It’s frustrating to lose money because of untrained or careless employees. The only positive thing I can say is that Jeane is the best cashier there — she’s the only one who truly knows how to handle things professionally. Randall’s needs better training and accountability for their staff.
