  We came in on Saturday afternoon after visiting Nostalgiacon in downtown Houston. Xavier was out waitress and she was AMAZING!!! She was so quick and so sweet! My drink was empty for all of 30 seconds before she showed up with an extra, I swear I didn't even see her pass by. It was such a great experience! Also, the lamb chops are REALLY good too!

  We had a group lunch here before a volleyball game, but the experience was ruined by the restaurant's lack of transparency. Our children (ages 11-12) sat together, and the server proceeded to bring out multiple orders of Queso and extra refills without once clarifying that these were not included or mentioning the price. This resulted in an outrageous charge of $30-$50 per child. As a parent, I find it highly unprofessional to target minors with 'hidden' costs instead of practicing honest hospitality. I hope management addresses this predatory behavior. There was no table attentiveness whatsoever; we had to ask for water refill and coffee refills never came.

  Pappasito’s Cantina next to Toyota Center is the perfect spot before or after a game! The vibe and atmosphere are absolutely fun, brightly lit, energetic Texas energy with a lively crowd and great music. Perfect for groups or a quick bite in downtown Houston. The fajitas, quesadillas and margaritas hit hard, service was solid even when busy, and the location can’t be beaten as it is steps from Toyota Center. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

  Do not come here unless you want to wait an hour+ for your food after ordering. Waited over an hour for a CHICKEN QUESADILLA at lunch time and then the server asked us if we wanted dessert, we said yes, and instead of coming back to take our order, she brought the check. The manager at the time came to apologize for the extensive wait and said he was going to “make it right” but did literally nothing. For some reason, we came back for dinner. It was the same thing all over again, but worse. It took 60-90 minutes to get our food. One person ordered a tree leches cake and somehow that took the longest to arrive, with the last thing to be dropped off at the table 90 minutes later.

  I took my family out to downtown to treat them after a long week and enjoy some nice city vibes together. Unfortunately, the start of our experience was really disappointing. Even with a reservation, we waited quite a while and once seated it took a long time for anyone to greet us. Our drinks were slow to arrive, and we had queso but no chips or tortillas to actually eat it with. We asked not one, not two, but three different servers for help with our drinks, chips, and tortillas and still struggled to get assistance. When our food finally came out about 40 minutes later, it unfortunately arrived cold. Despite the frustration, my family and I stayed patient and respectful the entire time. I even found myself apologizing to them since I was the one who suggested we come here for the evening. Toward the end of our visit, the manager Jade came over to check on us and ask if everything was okay. We were honest about the delays and the food, and he quickly brought over another manager, Kaela. Both of them sincerely apologized, listened to our concerns, and explained how busy the restaurant had been that night. Most importantly, they genuinely took our feedback seriously and wanted to make things right. They ended up comping our bill, which honestly surprised us. While the experience earlier in the evening was frustrating, I really appreciated the professionalism and care they showed in handling the situation. Overall, Pappasito’s Cantina is usually a great spot. My company even uses them regularly for parties and catering, and service is typically stellar. Because of that, I know this experience isn’t the norm, and I appreciate the management team stepping in and making the effort to turn things around. We’ll definitely give them another chance.
