Per the notification received on phone to meet at hostess stand; we were seated at 2:30 pm. We received drinks until 2:50. When inquired why it was taking so long on the drinks…we were told that the bar is “backed up”. That manager asked if we wanted a free desert for the delay on our drinks…uuhhh…NO! He did comp 1 margarita. 🎉(but keep in mind, we did not go there for a free dessert), or actually a free anything. No food until 3:47. Absolutely unacceptable in ANY circumstances, again we were asked if we wanted a free dessert for delay in food arrival. 🤷♀️ People came in, ate, & left. Oh, and we were told “the ball was dropped” on our order since they had a 25 top come in. The second 2nd manager ended up deducted 1/2 of our food bill, since he was quite pompous about reminding us the previous manager already comp’d us 1 margarita. Not so sure if we’ll be back again…VERY disappointed!

The quality of the food and service sets a very high bar, and it’s clear why Texas is known for this kind of cuisine. Portions are generous, drinks are well made, and the overall value matches the experience. Everything was prepared correctly and served efficiently, with excellent attention to detail. Our server, Reuben, provided attentive and professional service that elevated the entire visit. If you’re traveling to Houston, Pappasito’s is a must-visit restaurant.
