  Just your average ordinary run of the mill franchise Mexican restaurant and bar. There was nothing outstanding or exceptional about it service was OK but didn't stand out in my mind like I don't even remember the server name or if it was a boy or a girl. Really just as average across the board as you can get. And that's not a bad thing because at this particular visit we wanted something that we knew what we were gonna get there was no surprises we didn't want to get there and stared at a menu for an hour and decided we didn't want anything we got exactly what we came for and that was dependability and accessibility and a place to sit and talk where you can hear yourself talk.

  I revisited after Covid while visiting family in Houston. Beef fajitas were excellent as I remembered them. Wish they added grilled poblano peppers like some other Tex-mex places. Veggie quesadillas and enchiladas were also great - my parents who are vegetarian loved them. The only real knock on the food is as follows: 1. if you like spicy food, you will need to ask them to give you serrano or poblano peppers on the side so that you can add it to everything as you like. Otherwise food tastes on the bland side. 2. Only one type of salsa in the restaurant and it's not spicy at all. See point above about peppers. 3. Since COVID, they no longer do table side guacamole and the amount they provide now is far less than they used to.

  Just dined @ Pappacitos on 1960 around 7:40pm today and our server was Jonathan, the service was not up to par! Jonathan only checked on us MAYBE 3 times. Someone else brought our food out and refilled our waters. While experience felt very rushed. He had 2 other tables to the right and the left of me. He continued to check on them constantly but skipped over our table serval times. VERY DISSATISFIED! 👎🏾

  I have a service animal that provides tactile stimulation, and we are sitting on the patio. The manager Jennifer or Jennie told me that I am not allowed to have my yorkie on my lap, she said she goes by. I told her that she is my service animal and she said it doesn’t matter. This is ridiculous. This place has to educate their managers.

  Let me start off by saying I am not the one to complain nor leave reviews but today I will say that if no stars was an option I would've automatically picked that regarding "food" me and my family dined in yesterday (12/14) around 5-6pm, it was busy and filling up quickly but service was still top tier! Food was a disappointment however, Pappasito's has been one of my favorite restaurants for the longest time due to quality, taste and presentation, but yesterday makes me want to say otherwise now. We were told our food would take longer due to the kitchen being backed up which is completely understandable I've worked in several restaurants so I completely understand that but the thing I won't comprehend is making me wait longer for my food and me receiving my chicken basically RAW and only cooked on the surface, unfortunately I didn't notice till I was halfway through my quesadillas and started feeling really sick to my stomach which is unacceptable especially for the price spent over $200! (4 entrees, 1 kids meal and no alcoholic bevs) I have no problem spending that for good, presentable and high-quality food but yesterday was not the day. Due to that being said me and my family will no longer return to dine in at Pappasito's, we are very disappointed!!!
