i’ve had 2 recent experiences at this location that i’m not pleased with. the first we visited for my son’s birthday, the food took forever but the manager came by to apologize. she asked us what we would like in the meantime while our food is being prepared, once we told her what we would like, we never received it and our food still took another 20 minutes to come out. the next visit was a curbside order, our food didn’t come out until 15 minutes pass the pickup time, and we when touched our food it was cold!

Five stars + ... and a must!
Service and atmosphere:
I received fantastic service. The waitress was friendly, professional and super knowledgeable about food and drinks. She was very attentive too.
The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and had a great ambiance.
Food and drinks:
SUPER GOOD in both areas.
They offer very good selection of traditional dishes.
Please note that they cook in beef tallow! Thank you for not using seed oils!!!
Our large fajita with beef and chicken was delicious.
Meats were tender and cooked perfectly. All sides accompanied the meats very well and gave it extra depth and texture.
Margaritas were outstanding. Make sure to ask for your favourite tequila to go with your margaritas.
We finished the dinner with tasty ice cream coated with coconut.
Pricing:
$/$- super worth it!

I really want to give 5 stars bc I love Pappasito's, but a couple of things prevent it. First, the hostess at the door was hard to hear because she would continually look down when she would speak and then she asked for a name for our party ...name given by a man and she obviously didn't hear him the first time and asked again, he repeated even louder, and she still got it wrong. We wait for about 20 minutes at the bar as we ordered our adult beverage and were served by very professional and busy bartenders, eventually our made up name was up (phone # was correct), we stood at the entry podium without being acknowledged by the same hostess (if even to mention to wait for assistance). After five minutes a pleasant young man came to assist us with our table making a bit of conversation on the way, he too very professional. Our table server (Edwin) was immediately attentive and took amazing care of us. Again another professional. I was sad when I learned the Tequila Lime Chicken Salad was no longer on the menu. I chose the Salmon salad as it contains many of the same ingredients only served on a tostada with refried black beans, although taste was good, the beans got cold too quickly and it just became a matter of texture for me.
Only thing I can suggest is to bring back the Tequila Lime Chicken Salad and possibly keep the Salmon as another option. I wasn't the only one talking about it being removed from the menu this evening. First the Mexico City Soup was removed after COVID and now the salad. Boo! 🥺
Another suggestion would be to make sure door hostess' are more attentive to information given and speaking at a level this restaurant requires...it does get really loud.

I can't control myself of how my visit, service and hospitality made me feel during my lunch time here.
The Hostess, The Servers, on down to the BEST served fresh, hot and delish food that was plated with sparkling, polished clean and prestene silverware, well, this Pappasitos location plays mo games with delivering you the absolute BEST service ever! [I'd wish all other Pappasitos' location can take hellva notes from here]. If you're looking for succulent Tex-Mex food, well, this is it! You will not be disappointed.
This Pzppasitos location is in my system through and through! If you're in the area, stop in and try that Queso Fundido. What a Fiesta it gives to ones palette, OMG!
Keep being the best Pappasitos!

I'm not impressed at all anymore y'all. I used to like going to Pappasito's once or twice a year as a treat because it has always been rather expensive for Tex-Mex and there's just so much other good Tex-Mex available down here in Houston. Went there a couple weeks ago to this location and it was so loud that you could not even have much of a conversation with each other. Everybody just competing to yell talk. I asked the waitress when they seated us if we could be sitting in the back where it was carpeted to absorb some of that sound and was told know that they had a group coming in in a little while. I should have left right then because I regret staying now. Chips and salsa are always good there so I will give them that but the mixed steak and chicken fajita plate was shockingly flavorless for pappasito's. I remember the last time I was there it tasted so good but there just was nothing there. The guacamole appetizer was absolutely flavorless as well. You were basically just eating avocado with a little bit of onion in it. Had to flavor it up with a lot of salt and pepper. The fresh made flour tortillas are really good of course. Took at least half of the food to go because it just wasn't doing anything for me with the chaos everywhere. I guess the moral of the story is that it could have been just an off night on the fajita flavoring but I doubt that was the case. It's a pretty standard time-tested recipe that they use and I just don't think it's good anymore. I did reheat my leftovers the next day and as I bit into a really good size moist piece of chicken there is a harsh chemical off taste that had me spitting it out on my plate. It was like a medical type chemical taste. The beef was fine but there was something wrong with the chicken. I won't be going back ever again. Over $100 for a marginal meal gor 2 with no drinks other than water in an annoyingly loud environment is never going to be worth it for me again.
