If I could I would give this place a 0. Omg
food was horrible. My cousin from out of town wanted to go here. She ordered New York strip steak and I ordered the lamb chops. We both told the waiter we want our food well done. We didn’t get well done, we got myoglobin, it was fatty and tough. So the waiter ask did we want them to cook it more. By this time my cousin and I was done with the hold experience. I won’t eat there anymore. Also the portion is very small for the price they want you to pay.

Quite disappointing. It was a busy evening, but the venue was huge and looked properly staffed - however, service was of the quality of an Applebees or so. No one was welcoming, except the managers. From the hostess, to the seater, to the server - no one greeted us, smiled, or showed any other gesture that made us feel we were in an upscale restaurant.
We ordered bottled water and a bottle of wine. That took about 15 minutes to come. After that initial pour, we were on our own. It was set up in a cooling stand, so we couldn't reach it ourselves without getting up. But our glasses stood empty for 15-20 min segments multiple times and I literally had to flag over any staff member I could to replenish our glasses.
We ordered the lobster bisque, caesar salad, iceberg slab, A5 wagyu and bone-in ribeye along with mashed potatoes and onion rings. Food was ok but a bit bland. They definitely go classic "salt and pepper" on the steaks.
They skipped all of the frills for us. No one offered us fresh cracked pepper for our salads or soup, and didn't get the dessert cart presentation.
After we were done eating, we literally waited unattended for 30 minutes, no exaggeration. Again, I had to flag a random staff member over to ask for the check. At this point, we were beyond ready to go.
The staff member alerted the manager who came over to apologize for the experience and comped our desserts.
$500+ for an awful experience.

I love steak and try to find a signature upscale local steakhouse in almost every city I visit. Houston was my stop and Pappas Bros was my choice...the wrong choice.
We didn't have an inviting touch point until our fourth encounter with a staff member - Jake, a manager who walked us to a back seating area after I had to ask a hostess to not sit us in the bar area even though we had reservations.
LHe was kind and welcoming but unfortunately that did not carry over. We were served by an inattentive server who, fair enough, was busy on what was seemingly a busier than usual Saturday night for the restaurant; however, I've been in busier restaurants and have never experienced such extensive wait times for the smallest things as refills of water and wine glasses. Thank you to Mr. Nate who filled my glasses after our server looked at the empty glasses twice but never made it back to refill them before we had to bother Mr. Nate.
Furthermore, the meal underwhelmed. My bone-in medium ribeye was tender but could have used a bit more flavor, and the onion rings were blah. I was also greatly annoyed by this point, the third course of the meal, so I'm sure it may have slightly skewed my level of enjoyment.
Upon being done, we had to wait (no exaggeration) 20+ minutes for the check; we finally waved over a manager, Kevin(?), telling him that we were done and when he asked how the evening was, we had to tell the truth: it was an underwhelming experience.
He asked that we give Pappas Bros another chance upon visiting Houston again and while I can't say we won't ever do so, I can also confidently say it won't be on the list of options the next time that we visit Houston.

Fillet was chewy. Disappointed to pay $65 for a steak that isn’t as good as a steak from HEB. Service was fantastic, but won’t go back ever. Too many excellent steak houses in Houston - Eddie V’s, Perry’s, Brenner’s, Taste of Texas, Flemming’s, Morton’s and Steak 48. They claim they butcher and age their own beef - if so they new better butchers.
