Wait, pappadeaux closes at 9pm or 10, whatever thats crazy for a weekday night in a major metropolitan city, downtown, and attached to a convention center...BTW the bar closed earlier. My seafood platter was had bad mussels! Maybe the oil was burned or the seafood (mussels were bad). Should've taken better pictures but the series of misfortune events one after the other left me discombobulated.

Dined here before a concert, our server Kdarian was a fantastic host to us! He was incredibly nice and engaged in conversation with us, he treated all of us very kindly! The food was also fantastic, was a great experience all around!

Disappointed with service, salty dirty rice, missing items on my to go order. I visited the restaurant on December 7, 2025. I should have checked my order before I drove away but waiting over 20 minutes longer for my to go order was frustrating. Due to my order was not correct and I couldn't and wouldn't do a turnaround I was advised by manager over the phone which I couldn't hear her name because the background was loud but she understood my concerns and I was advised that I would receive a refund. I went online to Pappadeaux website and had to place 2 unhappy with your service complaints. Felicia Lewis, Pappas guest relations responded December 19 and I have responded back and yet I still heard nothing.It's been over 20 days since my visit and I still have not received it a refund. This is a small simple matter that should have been resolved quickly and makes me not want to ever order to go. I'm just disappointed.

The staff at the check-in counter did her best to honor our online table request, which we appreciated. The servers overall seemed attentive, though our table’s waiter was less engaged. I noticed another waiter reminding guests about parking validation for the Avenida South Garage, which was helpful information we didn’t receive. The drinks were good—though my husband found his a bit too tangy. Unfortunately, the food was overly salty, which took away from the overall experience.

Restaurant standards have definitely declined over the years, especially at the Pappadeaux locations. It was my friends birthday and we asked to be seated at a high top table because that's where he likes to sit. A young lady at the host stand told us to wait just a minute. We stood there for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement until finally one of the hostest asked had we been helped. I told her I already told a hostest that we needed a high top table at the bar. She said we were not on the wait list, but she can add us...like huh???? I JUST spoke to someone. I asked for a particular table and they stated the section was closed. Literally 10 minutes after they stated that particular section was closed and we were waiting for our table at the bar, a man walked in and they sat him right away..in that SAME SECTION! So I asked for the GM, because really???? Of course he wasn't there. Asked for a manager because this is ridiculous and disrespectful at this point. We were at the hostest stand first, but you not only make us wait to put our name on the wait list, you make us wait for a table and seat peoplewho walkedin after us?? Just incompetence, horrible customer service, and just a bad experience. A young lady with a server apron on came to talk to us and she did not look like a supervisor or manager the way she was dressed. She not have a business card for herself stati g she was management/Supervisor, nor a business card for the GM of the restaurant with his information. Thats very tacky and unprofessional not to have a business card with the GMs name on it at least. Just a bunch of blank cards. She did apologize for how we were treated on my friends birthday, she offered us a complimentary appetizer and a dessert, which still did not make up for the horrible service from the hostest. Our server was pretty good and the food was good but I can tell he was overwhelmed and they pretty much made him take our table because we complained. Very dissapointed with Pappas Restaurants, especially the downtown location where the service shouldn't even be questioned I remember when standards were held in restaurants for servers, hostest, etc. As much money as people spend at your restaurants, the service should never be lackluster and it always is. I worked in the industry for over 15 years and if I would've handle a customer like the hostest handled me and my friend, I would've been fired. Service is just not what it used to be. Very, very disappointing after spending $200+
