In particular, there was an older Caucasian lady who openly expressed her disapproval of customers who didn’t meet her so-called “ethical standards.” The manager or assistant present today around 1 PM, who I believe was Hispanic and seemed to be busy handling the cash register, continually judged and criticized paying customers. She complained about them taking too long and made faces while ignoring their requests. It’s disheartening to think that if I had been there in my scrubs or hospital attire, I would not have received the same treatment. While I’m not usually one to escalate issues to the DSHS, I feel compelled to do so after hearing about similar experiences multiple times. This establishment needs to improve.
