- GBGarry BatyckiNov 18, 20251.0I stopped going to M&S about 7 years ago when I saw food and napkins on the floor and no waiters were picking it up. The food was also average at that time. On September 21, 2025 I was in town and decided to give it another try. Oh, Man! This place continues having issues. I ordered one of the most expensive seafood dishes on the menu, the whole Branzino. I thought it should be difficult to ruin a branzino dish. However they managed to do it!! The fish was TASTELESS! No salt, or pepper or any hint of spices. Just a dip fried poor creature… the restaurant was almost empty but I had a problem finding my waiter to ask for salt and pepper. I had to go to the bar to look for some salt. When the water finally showed up, he almost killed me with the statement that they don’t put salt and pepper on tables because their food is so perfect that people don’t need those. I guess I won’t be going there to dine for another 7 years. !

The wait staff seemed mad the whole time and it took almost an hour to get our drinks. We were being very patient but it was ridiculous especially since there weren't that many tables. It was the worst restaurant experience I've experienced because they seemed so annoyed or just disappeared for so long. It was incredibly disappointing. I'm hoping it was a one off experience but I left feeling sad that we chose to go there for an anniversary dinner. Also they had no oysters, which was crazy to me.

The bartender made me feel like I was imposing on his side work. The second time for dinner. Cocktails were way too sweet. The trout was dry and overcooked. Overall? I don’t get it. Go to Mortons.
