FANTASTIC FOOD, VERY REASONABLE PRICES!!! Not to mention excellence in service, perfection in attentive without being obtrusive (Ryan is my dude!!!)... read reviews prior to going here.... steak cooked to perfection, ribs do slide off the bone, shrimp stuffed jalapeño spicy!, everything was wonderful and haven't found this quality at these prices in a long time!!!! We came here for our wedding anniversary, and noted that when we made our reservation. We were sat in a very noisy area, next to people watching videos on their phones without headphones. Service was fine but not friendly, food was good. I got up to use the restroom at the end of the meal and saw that there was a whole other dining space with private booths, and other couples there looking like they were celebrating. I went to the hostess and said that I just noticed this other area, and that since it was our anniversary I was wondering why we weren’t seated there or at least somewhere quieter. A manager walked over and told me that he thought our seats were fine. I asked why they ask about special occasions on the reservation form and he said “because we offer dessert when it’s a birthday or an anniversary”. I told him we didn’t receive that offer and he said “oh, well they do it sometimes.” I asked if it was because we are a same sex couple and he said no. I of course still tipped 20% but will not be returning. The overall experience was strange.

Classic Texas experience! Before you read any further, you MUST order the brisket queso dip as an appetizer. Totally worth it! Have been here a few times solo, date night, and large business gathering. All were exceptional. I’ve tried 10 or so things on the menu and have never been disappointed. Steaks are good, salads are good, apps are good. Try it, it may become your new favorite restaurant in Houston.

I made the mistake of ordering the 3 meat platter to sample the BBQ. The serving size was fantatsic, however the brisket, if t was really brisket, was tough and had minimal smoke flavor. The sausage wasn't bad and the turkey was tasty. I loved the beans and the potato salad. We had the bread sampler, also very good. Gotta say I wish I had tried the steaks vs the BBQ.
