- TCToni CoriNov 8, 20251.0Today I was treated unfairly and singled out by one of their lead staff Nancy for reaching to get some paper bags after checking out and spending over $100 on groceries. She said I would have to pay for the paper bags because I could only have plastic or paper. Since there was a shortage on paperbags. This was news to me since I frequent this location every otherday or once a week minimum and spend money here. My groceries aren't given to me for free. I asked when did this begin? Nancy said it's been a while. After walking out of the store, I looked around the parking lot and noticed people with paper and plastic bags. I approached a couple asked if they had to pay to get both they said "No, they didn't have to pay for either paper or plastic". I went back into the store to confirm this with a director of the store. He said no. It was not until I involved him that Nancy changed her story to oh she thought I was attempting to take a sleeve of paper bags then I would have to pay for them at customer service. All I did was mind my own business purchased my groceries and to be singled out while including the other HEB staff members felt stressful and harassing. Hopefully, Nancy can focus more on the day to day duties of the store instead of ALWAYS congregating with HEB staff near the registers.
