I truly love H-E-B, and the San Felipe location has always been my home store. I have never been disappointed with the service until this visit.
During checkout, I realized I had accidentally left my wallet in my car. I politely asked if I could step out to retrieve it, and was told that was fine. I returned shortly after, ready to complete my purchase, but the experience changed completely.
The cashier, Stephanie C., was in the process of returning my groceries and appeared visibly annoyed that I had come back to finish my transaction. When I later asked Ollie a simple, genuine question regarding my purchase, both employees made me feel as though I was an inconvenience.
Stephanie responded with, “Go ahead and put it in,” while aggressively chewing gum, avoiding eye contact, and showing clear irritation. The tone and body language were unnecessary and unprofessional. When I asked for her name, she seemed even more annoyed.
I understand that everyone has stressful moments, but customers should still be treated with respect. This experience was disappointing, especially at a store I’ve always trusted for excellent service.
I hope management addresses this so that future customers continue to receive the positive experience H-E-B is known for.

The lack of courtesy and professionalism from the management team at this heb is wild. They have no respect for other people’s time nor the skills to communicate effectively. As long as you never have to deal with a manager, you should be okay but if their system malfunctions and takes your payment without registering it, they’ll leave you standing there for 45 minutes before moving you to another register for something you already paid for.
