Flew in early morning and was starving. My sister took me to Dot's and as soon as I walked in and smelled the food I knew I made the right choice. Got seated quick and kept watching what other tables were getting. Ended up ordering pancakes, sausage, eggs and grits. Pancakes were huge. Too much food but all of it was good. Our waiter was great too. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Houston.

Food has been good but today the grit was solid and looked like old and microwaved and the milk is from water+powder which looked super gross.
Besides, please do not leave your bags behind because the customers that come here will just take it. They will not turn it in. Nor will the working people keep it for you. I lost a bag with car and house key and money in it.

One of the Pappadeaux’s establishments here but breakfast is on the menu! Great staff and great food, we will definitely return when in the area.

I am not sure what's going on with the way this establishment is run. It is laughable and disappointing at best. Sure it's not a 5 star restaurant but you would expect a little above the bare minimum given that Dot's is a staple here in Houston. Service is subpar really what happened to all of your half decent staff? I guess I wouldn't stick around long either if I had the choice.
As for management there isn't much to say because you are hard pressed to see them once night falls. If you are chanced to see them it's because they are yelling at staff like drill sergeants or giggling amongst themselves or on their phones texting like teenage girls flirting with boys! Cant forget the guy manager that very obviously flirts around with the female waitresses. Don't bother requesting a manager they will only send the waiters back to deal with your issues while they go do better things.
Honestly come on, do better Dot's Coffee Shop.
