  The atmosphere and food were exceptional! Our waiter was new, and would be the only thing to complain about.

  It was date night for us. So I really wanted something special for the wifey and I. First of all the table was not set up like other tables.[Table coth silverware and napkins was missing] I had to grab a light from another table. Let's get to the waitress by the end of the night we didn't even know her name. She had the expression on her face like she didn't want to be at work. The final price for our meal was 188.00 and for that much you would expect better service. There was nothing worth 188.00 to me and wifey about this place . I don't recommend this place at all. The valet service only had 1 person working on a Saturday night, REALLY!! SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!¡

  My fianceé and I booked a table to eat at Davis Street for Valentine's day because we both wanted to enjoy good food, a sophisticated atmosphere, and a Black Owned Business. We were both let down from poor service. We arrived to the restaurant at our reservation time and was seated within 5 minutes, however due to poor service throughout the night, we ended up leaving after waiting over an hour and never receiving any food or drinks we ordered. We would have stayed if we were kept in the loop or if we did not see other couples (that arrived and were seated after us) get their drinks, food, and desert before we did. We feel as if the root problem was specifically our waiter we were assigned, but it is still no excuse if running a solid business. We also noted on the Valentine's Menu that they would have charged a mandatory 20% gratuity for our meal, which we felt would be unfair to give given the staff's poor performance. We truly hope to one day dine with David Street in the future and we hope that no other customers have to share the same experience as we had that night.

  My fiancé and I were excited to go to Davis St for Valentine's Day, as we make it a point to support Black owned businesses in our community. We made reservations for 9:45 pm and were seated quickly. The ambiance and atmosphere were romantic and beautiful with dim lighting and music. Unfortunately, we were not attended to and never got to try the food or drinks. At 10:30 pm the waiter finally arrived to take our order and provided us with water. At 10:45 pm the waiter returned and asked us again what our order was and said he would enter it shortly. By this time we had witnessed other patrons that arrived after us get their drinks, appetizers and meals sent to their tables. Our waiter would walk by and make eye contact, but he wouldn't communicate with us a reason for delay. We asked the couple seated next to us if they had been attended to for the night. The couple next to us told us they had been attended to initially, but the service had gotten worse throughout the night, as they had been waiting for their dessert prior to us being seated next to them. At 10:50 pm another waiter placed the couple's dessert order on our table, without even realizing we were not the table that ordered the dessert. By 11pm my fiancé and I decided to leave. We were disappointed because we didn't get to try any food, or drinks for that matter while seated for over 1 hour and 15 minutes. I believe it was an issue with the waiter, as I mentioned many other patrons were serviced with drinks and food who had arrived after we were seated. It's so unfortunate and disappointing. I understand that businesses can be busy, but a simple courtesy check in would've potentially sufficed the issue of delay and lack of attentiveness. I hope Davis St. is able to become a more organized establishment in the near future. Best wishes.

  Valentine's Day went without a hitch. Duck was undercooked in their holiday rush, but they were able to fix it right away. Dessert was Awesome
