  Certain parts of the fish tasted funny , my ticket was skipped over and then after 30 mins she stills me they are out of Mac n cheese , red beans and rice tasted like Popeyes or some greens didn’t have no flavor at all they was playing good music though and daiquiris were a 10/10

  Honest Review First of all, this is going to be a very honest review. Upon arrival, the place was small but clean and neat from what we could see. We even had a nice moment to look at the moon before going inside. The vibes at first seemed cool. When we got to the cashier, her name was Lele. She took our order but didn’t smile. I did let her know it was my first time there. I understand that not everyone is customer service–savvy, so I overlooked it. It wasn’t busy — maybe two or three people behind us. I originally asked about the pasta, and she told me they were out. So I made another selection. My girlfriend had already ordered two frozen drinks — and I will say, the frozen drinks were 10/10. I ordered: • Fried pork chops • Macaroni and cheese • Dirty rice My girlfriend ordered: • Fried catfish dipped in lemon pepper sauce • Red beans and rice • Greens We waited for a while. We were vibing and listening to music, then went to sit in the car for a few minutes. My girlfriend went back in to check on the food, and Lele told her, “Oh, we were looking for you. We ran out of mac & cheese.” I noticed the person behind me had already ordered, and it seemed like our ticket may have been misplaced. We also received our food after someone who ordered after us. I work in the food industry myself, so I understand some items take longer than others — so I tried to give grace. However, once we got home and opened the food… it was horrible. • Pork chops: No flavor • Red beans and rice: Nasty, no flavor • Dirty rice: Mushy and salty • Mashed potatoes: Clumpy, no seasoning, no butter • Catfish: Mushy and seemed undercooked — still had raw breading underneath • Greens: No flavor The only things that were good was the cornbread and the frozen drinks. Overall rating: 0/10. I do not recommend.

  The service was great. The atmosphere was definitely different than what we expected. It’s more of a bar setting with some dining tables. Parking was rough and limited. Not the location’s fault at all but something to be prepared for. The food was decent and decently priced. Be advised they do charge for water. We ordered the loaded fries as an appetizer. The fried catfish with the side of mac & cheese, okra and mashed potatoes were the main entrees. Strange thing to say but the loaded fries were okay. The amount of cheese made the fries at the bottom soggy and the cheese had a strange sweet taste to me. However, it wasn’t bad. They were crispy for the most part; just personal preference. 3/5 The fried catfish was a great portion size. It came with 2 catfish fillets. It was crispy towards the bottom and the edges but the rest were flaky and not as crispy. The batter seasoning was great but the catfish itself didn’t seem to have much seasoning. It has great potential but not quite the best I’ve had personally. 3.75/5 Sad to say but I would have skipped the mac & cheese. I wish I liked it but it was sticky but at the same time, was dry and lacking flavor. 2/5 The okra was the star of the show for me. It was real crispy and I loved it. 4/5

  Hey there I tried this spot for the first time today! We had 2 Catfish plates with the 2 sides. My husband went there in person to order our food it also his first time trying it too. Ok so I won’t lie the Catfish is really good the beans & rice were ok the 1 piece of sausage that was in my beans was hard and had an old taste. And my first taste of what I thought was Dirty Rice WAS NOT!!! This is JAMBALAYA!!! Matter fact boxed Zatarins Jambalaya Rice! The rice was overcooked very mushy and stuck together! I called the store asked to speak with a member of management and someone did come to the line Named Aaron. I told him about the rice and he basically went back and forward with me saying it’s not Jambalaya it is Dirty Rice. Like I told him the fish is good the beans are ok but this is not dirty rice this is Jambalaya your menu does not say Jambalaya it says Dirty rice. I said look sir I was born and raised in N.O I ate this like multiple times a week as a kid and young adult I know the difference. The spot is decent nothing against that but when you know you know. I really want a refund actually that is misleading to patronize with a business and not get what you pay for. Yall better wake up and stop letting these restaurants tell you one thing and serve you something else…cook at home!

  This was the first time I experienced Butterfunk...my sister and I on the way home stop by not know what to order..My sister ordered the beef nachos which she enjoyed. I ordered "GUMBO" with rice on the side. My "GUMBO" was not gumbo it was "ETOUFFEE" sauce. Oh and btw we got everything to go....was the ETOUFFEE sauce good absolutely... However it was not what I ordered. I do thank the young lady for which I don't remember her name for being so accommodating...
