  First time eating from this place. For the amount of money spent, you would at least make the food edible!! There was no Love in anything except the breaded okra. This is definitely false advertisement!! The gumbo tasted like 80 weigh gravy...too much flour and tony's!! The etouffee was 100 weigh gravy with chopped green onions and instant rice.. That wasn't all the food ordered. We ordered for a family of five and could not enjoy it...not mad just disappointed but definitely a lesson learned.

  Off the chain this real soul food cooking. I'm talking about that food that make you slap your mama make you kick a mule to the Moon man. Go check it out man, the pork chops, the beans and rice. All of it's good. The collard greens, the cornbread man that's melts in your hand. Ful cooking man is off the chain. Y'all got to go try it. You got to check it out. It don't look at the building, the the waiter, the owner or whatever who all there man. They treat you like king queen. They're going to make sure your food is right. Your drink is right. You love it man. It's it's family atmosphere and you enjoying you. Have a good time. You have fun. Listen to music, play some relax and make you feel like family man. Especially if you just coming out of town. Man you going to feel like family. That's how they make you feel like you. You part of the family. You don't when you want to leave but I guarantee you this anytime you come to H-Town and you want that soul food. You going to remember this place cuz I know me and my brothers now are always coming here before we leave there each time we hidden the butter from kitchen and believe me man it is off. It is worth every dime of your money. Go enjoy and eat some real good food out

  Don’t owe me nothing but another plate of food! Mane listen that was so dang good. I thought I cooked at home 🤣🤣 I think what I had was called the grandfather. Catfish and grits! The mimosas are pretty good as well

  The food was great; however, I ordered online the fish sandwich with 2 side options (fried okra and small gumbo). When the order was ready I was told only one side comes with the fish sandwich so I was only given the fried okra but I was already charged for the small gumbo and I was not offered to have my money given back to me. It was only $2 and some change but it’s just the principle of it all because I would have told them that was ok and just keep it which is what happened anyway but at least just give me that option. Other than that and the wait was a little long we were pleased with the food and will return.

  Horrible! By the time some of us received our cold food 45 minutes had passed..However 8 people (table of 6 amd a table of 2) had been served and eaten. By the time all 8 had been served. The table of 6 had eaten and were ready to walk out! Our food was cold and the chicken, although crispy..had ABSOLUTELY NO SEASONING! The grilled porkchops were nice and tender a little salty but overall flavorful and good. The beans and rice were seasoned well and hot. The.mac and cheese, cold so nothing good to say, the mashed potatoes were under seasoned and overall..boxed are better and I hate boxed potatoes. The lemon peppered wings were disgusting and returned to the kitchen...Overall, hopefully they just had a bad day..but we wont return to find out..not worth the 45 minute trip ..smh
