  Never been here before but I did see a video talking about the fried chicken so I had to try it and well have to say was on point if not the best in Houston old school restaurant so be prepared to wait chicken is made fresh.

  This was such a pleasant surprise. This place probably hasn't changed since it was open 70 years ago, and to me that is perfect. Amazing service, super clean and the best chopped beef sandwich and sliced brisket anywhere on this planet, even compared to the Austin hot spots!

  I loved BBQ Inn, until I stopped there yesterday for a to go plate, of fish and shrimp. I spent over $26, for some fish that was microwaved to be thawed, I know this cause the breading did not stick to fish and the filet was not flaky it was gray. The coleslaw was so dry, I threw it away and last the hand full of fries were limp and greasy. I always stopped here when I was in the area. I had been coming a long time. I should have known better to order seafood from a BBQ place but I always loved the fried shrimp that was good. Never ordered BBQ cause the place never smelled like some Q... Today my hard earned money will not spend another dime there. This place has been around a long time, so I bet those cooks that were there a long time ago are retired.

  Always consistently terrific, pork ribs served temperature hot, onion rings are spectacular, batter doesn't fall off the onion which is cut thin and fried crispy. Fried chicken is the real deal, moist served hot with a crispy texture. No the batter is not seasoned but I order extra gravy and then use pepper and hot sauce for dipping. Must try is the fried shrimp. Old School atmosphere with unbelievable Service along with exceptional food.

  I haven’t been here in years but live in the area. Decided to go for lunch. The food was great but the waitress Teresa I believe her name was, was completely rude and condescending towards me and very friendly to my older gentleman date. She was very short and rude with me and sweet to him. Would go back but unfortunately do not want someone that rude again, all other staff was friendly. She ruined the experience and won’t be back. Teresa I work in food and customer service as well. You were terrible and made me feel very unwelcome, thank you for at least showing courtesy to my date who you were aware was paying the bill.
