  We had reservations but still had to wait about 30 minutes at 7:00 on a Friday evening. We forgot though that it was Mardi Gras week and the start of Lent. The food was really good, exactly what we've come to expect over the years. They were very accommodating of my gluten free diet. The atmosphere was nice, if not a little loud, but it was very crowded. Despite them being very busy, our server was very attentive. We got cocktails and wine, which was as expected and timely. This has become one of our go to favorites for nice, semi casual dinners.

  My family and I were visiting from North Carolina and made a reservation ahead of time. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, which made it perfect for our family dinner. Jameel was our server, and he truly took great care of us. He was attentive, patient, and handled our table of nine with no issues at all. Managing nine different orders without missing a beat is no small task, and he did it effortlessly. The garlic bread was amazing, and my shrimp and catfish fillet were fried to perfection. Everything came out hot and flavorful. We had a great experience overall and would definitely return the next time we’re in town.

  This was my first time at this location. I had a wonderful experience. The oysters were very good and fresh. The service was excellent. I never had to go chase anybody down for anything. And they were very patient. They didn't bring all the food at once trying to rush me out. I did not make a reservation because I went when they opened at 11:00 a.m., but it got packed pretty quickly. So I do recommend making a reservation. I can't wait to go here again!

  I was sooooooo disappointed 😞. We ordered the calamari for starters and it was good. I ordered the filet and it wasn't cooked right so I had to send it back. By the time it arrived I had lost my appetite and my date had already ate his. The steak was zapped in the microwave. It was cooked well done, medium and medium well. When I ordered medium well. No sincere apology or sense of urgency to make it right. I had high hopes, usually you can never go wrong with Pappadeaux. 😕

  All the way from Atlanta, in town for less than 48 hours, and unfortunately this was my experience at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. I placed my order a little after 7PM and was told via text to arrive at 7:25PM. I requested a Lyft with a stop to pick up my food before heading back to my hotel. While waiting in the car, I called the restaurant and was told it would be “less than 5 minutes.” The Lyft timer ran out and ended the trip — not a huge deal, but still inconvenient. I went inside to wait. Another employee told me 15 minutes, which I was fine with. I then called another Lyft using Wait & Save since there was still no clear update on my food. A different employee checked again and said 5 minutes — but another 10–15 minutes passed with no food and no communication. When my second Lyft arrived (with only a 5-minute pickup window), the to-go associate came over and said, “They’re not giving me an update on your food. I’m sorry, I don’t know what to do.” That was unacceptable. I ended up leaving the restaurant almost at 8PM — well past the 7:25PM pickup time provided. After two Lyft rides and wasted money, I canceled the order. Poor communication and inaccurate wait times are unprofessional — especially for to-go service. If the kitchen is behind, just say that. Don’t repeatedly tell customers “5 minutes” when that’s clearly not the case. Do better. I will not return to this location if I’m back in DFW. I honestly would have had better luck eating at the airport location. For the record, the salmon and spinach I had at my hotel was a 10/10. I should’ve just ordered there from the start. Very disappointing experience.
