Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported long wait times, often exceeding 20 minutes, particularly in the drive-thru and curbside pickup.
Customer Service
Feedback on staff attitude was mixed; while some praised individual employees for their friendliness, others noted rudeness and lack of professionalism.
Order Accuracy
Numerous reviews mentioned issues with incorrect orders and missing items, leading to customer frustration.
Food Quality
While some customers enjoyed the food, others reported receiving cold or poorly prepared meals.
Cleanliness and Organization
The store was generally described as clean, but several reviews indicated a need for better organization and management to improve service efficiency.

Extremely Disappointing Experience
I visited this Whataburger location for dinner and ordered three combos:
• Combo #1: No pickles, extra mustard and onion, lemonade
• Sweet & Spicy Combo: Fries and lemonade
• Wrangler Combo: No pickles, Fanta
Right away, the drinks were wrong—I received two Fantas and no lemonade. When I asked about it, the employee told me they were out of lemonade and I’d have to wait for more. Later, when I went inside, I saw a full tank of lemonade sitting there.
When my food arrived, I checked the bags and everything was wrong: the burgers had pickles, there was no extra onion or mustard, and I received two Wranglers instead of the correct meals. I brought it to their attention, but the drive-thru employee insisted the cooks said it was correct. Only after speaking with the manager, Cain, did they remake the order.
Unfortunately, I didn’t check it thoroughly before leaving. When I got home, both orders of onion rings were burnt into hard balls, and my burger still didn’t have the extra mustard or onion I requested. I had to drive all the way back.
While on the phone with corporate, I spoke with the manager again. He wanted to simply add mustard and onion to the cold burger instead of remaking it. After I refused, he took everything back. When he returned, one order of onion rings had only three pieces, and he claimed “the rest are at the bottom of the bag.”
I asked him to refill the onion rings. While waiting, I checked the burger and found the bun so stale and hard that I could tap on it and hear it. Then I discovered two large containers in the bag—one filled with mustard and the other filled with onion slices—which felt extremely unprofessional and unnecessary.
At that point, I was completely done. I calmly handed them back, took what he gave me, and left. I spent over an hour (5:38–6:40 PM on 11/13/25) just trying to get a correct order, and I still left unsatisfied.
I will not be returning to this location. Very disappointing experience from start to finish.

This place is terrible at giving order. I get my online order and this stuff ends up coming out cold everytime. And I still end up waiting 15+ minutes for my food. Better off just ordering when I arrive. Atleast I would get hot food.

I’m honestly really disappointed with this Whataburger visit. I waited in line for about 20 minutes just to get to the window, and the girl working there was rude and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. When I finally got my food, they forgot the condiments I asked for. I tried to just let it go, but when I finished my drink and opened the lid to eat the ice, I found a hair in the cup. That was the last straw. Between the long wait, bad attitude, and poor hygiene, I won’t be coming back to this location anytime soon.

Every time I go there I get the exact same order. I say the exact same thing every time. A triple burger with no cheese, no combo, only the regular fixings that come on the burger with nothing else except the burger. Then they repeat it by saying you want a burger. I said I want a triple burger with no cheese. Then they say it doesn’t come with cheese. But if I don’t tell them I don’t want cheese then they will ask me if I want cheese. Then they repeat it again “it doesn’t come with cheese.” Well, when I don’t tell you no cheese then you will ask me if I want cheese and I have to say no cheese then. Then when I get to the window a young girl there that don’t speak English says “toopy doopy” to me over and over again. I say I don’t understand you. She says “toopy doopy” again and again. I put my head out my vehicle window and said “I don’t understand you, do you speak English. She repeats it again and then I just said I ordered triple meat burger. Then she took my debit card and ran it. When I get to the next window the girl says something very soft and quiet and I could not understand her either. I said what a few times. Then I finally said I ordered the triple meat burger and she quickly handed it to me and shut the window. All of them working there looks like high school kids. I don’t know if they are screwing around with me or they are just all very inexperienced with customer service.
I love Whataburger but they needs to have better customer service if they want me to continue to get my triple burger there.
I just looked inside my drive through bag and there are no napkins in the bag. This is really upsetting. When I just picked up my burger a quarter of a meat patty fell out of the burger.
What is going on with the employees there. My burger never fell apart when I picked up in the past.
