Tried a burger, fries, lemonade, chop salad and that chocolate cake. Meat quality and portion size, It was all good. May I suggest you provide a chair for your workers, to verbally take orders to be level with customer until your machine is connected. Shay was very helpful! The traffic noise level from the hwy 161 made it impossible to hear each other. Your lanes are very confusing, cones are not straight. And, pulling up to a door versus a counter window hopefully will be clearer once you are completed building your store. I will be back.

Order the beef dipped with hot peppers. That’s the full experience. I tasted home. Everything was great. The fries were fresh. I watched them throw out made up fries and replace them. No customer walked away with soggy, uncooked fries! The decor is cute. Only two things that can be improved upon in my humble opinion. The tables, since they dip your sandwich, every time you put down the sandwich you leave grease behind on the table. The lobby needs a once over often. And they need some automatic air freshener in the restroom. I’m picky and I was pleasantly surprised. We will be back!

I ordered the fish sandwich with onion rings. Unfortunately, the sandwich was extremely oily and had far too much tartar sauce, which made it less enjoyable. Honestly, McDonald’s, Arby’s, and even Whataburger serve better fish sandwiches. The onion rings were decent, though nothing special. The drive-thru wait was longer than expected, but the staff were friendly and courteous, which was a positive note.

Welcome to my review. I am a Godly Man and Navy Veteran who loves great food and service. I give a fair review and my view of the experience. This is only one side and my experience. Your experience maybe different, so share it. This place was good. I've been to a lot different portillo's and this location made my top 10

As a long-time lover of hearty Midwest comfort food, I walked into Portillo’s expecting a classic Chicago experience rich flavors, juicy Italian beef, maybe that signature tang of giardiniera or sweet peppers. What I got instead felt like a culinary bait-and-switch: a meal that looked the part but lacked the soul. The Italian beef and sausage combo usually the crown jewel of Portillo’s was surprisingly uninspired. The meat was tender enough, but the sandwich offered little beyond the simple (and sadly one-note) taste of beef and bread. No spice, no zest, no hint of that messy, mouth-watering punch that should define a true Chicago sandwich. The sausage barely made its presence known, and the au jus, if it was there, didn’t leave an impression. For the price, it was a disappointment. The chicken entrée fared slightly better, earning the label “average” and not much else. It was competently cooked but forgettable something you’d expect from a chain on a busy lunch rush, not a brand celebrated for flavor. At around $50 for the meal, the value proposition collapses entirely. Even factoring in regional inflation or combo pricing, this felt steep for food that evokes fast-casual mediocrity rather than nostalgia or indulgence. When a critic starts mentally comparing your sandwich to Arby’s at half the price, something has gone wrong. Final Verdict: ★ Portillo’s may have its fans, but this experience was more style than substance an expensive reminder that reputation can’t carry a meal. For true comfort food flavor, your local sandwich shop or even the nearest Arby’s might serve up a more satisfying meat and bread sandwich
