I went with my daughter to get a quick meal before she had to get ready for bed. The salmon was overcooked. Steak was overcooked seasoning was less than par. I told the young lady that was waiting on us that my salmon was way overcooked and her response was oh ha ha ha ha ha ha like it was a joke. I have never left a poor tip in my entire life for two entrées and three drinks. It was $110 and I would’ve expected $110 worth of service but that’s not what I got. I got a $30 tab Service for that I left her two dollar tip and it was literally embarrassing because I’ve never left such a low tip in my life. I don’t know if this is their normal or if it was because it was 8:30 in the evening. Regardless someone in management, hopefully will read this and do something about it because right now I never want to go to another lazy dog as long as I live. I’ve had better service at cheddars and cheddars pretty much sucks.

My family went to Lazy Dog in Garland for Easter lunch. We expected it to be crowded and the service to be slow. Thalia was our waitress. She made our experience absolutely the best. As busy as it was, her bubbly attitude and prompt service never wavered. My daughter and I had been there once before and really loved the food. I had never heard of Lazy Dog prior to then, but could tell, before the waitress mentioned, it was a scratch kitchen restaurant. The menu offerings are unique, abundant and delicious and the atmosphere interesting. Everything we ordered on both visits was a hit!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely fantastic time at Lazy Dog today! Even on Easter Sunday, we were seated immediately with no wait, which was a great start. The food was delicious from start to finish. We kicked things off with the hot honey feta dip—highly recommend! For the main course, I had the Mediterranean chicken bowl and my daughter loved her grilled cheese and tortilla soup. I couldn't resist the banana pudding for dessert, and it did not disappoint. Our waitress, Courtney, was wonderful—so friendly and attentive. I jokingly asked her to box up "the world" to go, and she actually delivered! She brought me a cup labeled "the world" with a cute little drawing of the world on it. Such a fun, personal touch. Since it was our first visit, they even surprised us with a fresh order of homemade chips to take home. The atmosphere is so lively and welcoming. Being a dog-friendly spot, it was a joy to see all the happy pups coming in, especially the ones dressed up in their Easter best! Plus, it’s great to know their lunch specials run 7 days a week. We will definitely be back!

May have reviewed earlier but here’s another one just in case. It’s one of my wife’s and my Go To Places. Love the variety and the fact they have a lunch special seven days a week. One of the things I didn’t know was that they allow you to bring your dog if you sit in the patio area. Thought that this was awesome. Sat in the area a couple of days ago and there were several well behaved dogs. Wish I could bring mine. Anyway, decided to keep it simple with a burger and my wife with chicken. Both were good. Although my wife did not like the green bean tomato side dish. Overall we had a good date night. The server was on ball even with the place packed. Will continue to go here but lunch is a better time for us over night which is slightly louder.

Today’s visit to Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar was more meaningful than I ever expected. Normally on St. Patrick’s Day I stay home. It’s my mother’s birthday, and since she passed, the day has always been difficult for me. My children are on spring break and convinced me to get out of the house today, thinking Lazy Dog might be having their usual family activities and ice cream sundaes. I’ll be honest I wasn’t in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit at all and didn’t even wear green. Then our waitress, Ladonna, approached our table with the biggest smile and a bright blinking clover necklace that instantly lit up the moment. Her energy was joyful, welcoming, and genuine. Within minutes she had completely shifted the atmosphere for our table. Even my kids noticed the difference in my mood. She paid attention to the small details, noticing I wasn’t wearing green and bringing us festive beads so we could still join in the celebration. She offered great menu suggestions and checked on us with a level of care that truly stood out. During our conversation I shared that today was my mother’s heavenly birthday and that her kindness had already made the day easier. She then shared that it was also her grandmother’s heavenly birthday. That moment created such a sincere connection it didn’t feel like a typical dining experience. It felt like meeting an extended member of the family. Because of Ladonna, what is usually a very hard day became one filled with smiles, warmth, and gratitude. My children and I even talked about making Lazy Dog our new tradition for celebrating my mom’s birthday with Ladonna, bacon candy and feta dip. To Lazy Dog management: employees like Ladonna are what create loyal guests and memorable experiences. Her kindness, attentiveness, and spirit represent your brand beautifully. Thank you for hiring people who care and please make sure Ladonna gets the recognition she deserves.
