Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Unfortunately, what should have been a routine visit turned into a very upsetting experience. I was first handed a cup of hot coffee with an insecure lid, which immediately spilled. The employee replaced it, but the replacement cup also had a faulty lid. When my 10-year-old daughter handled the second cup, the lid came loose and hot coffee spilled onto her hands, causing injury and ruining her clothes. What was most disappointing was not only the incident itself, but the lack of care and professionalism that followed. My concerns were dismissed, I was blamed for the situation, and I was met with rudeness instead of empathy. As a parent, seeing your child hurt is already difficult, and the response we received made it even more distressing. I am sharing this not out of anger, but out of concern. Businesses have a responsibility to ensure the safety of their customers, especially when serving hot items, and to respond with compassion when something goes wrong. I hope this matter is taken seriously and that steps are taken to prevent this from happening to another family.
- KKKimberlyFeb 8, 20261.0My sister and I went to use the restroom and to our surprise when we got out of the stall there was a male worker just standing there he didn’t knock or ask if anyone was in the restroom before coming in so when we heard the door open we thought it was just another female waiting on the stall but no no no it was a whole dude just standing there with a dustpan and broom and all he was say sorry and still did not leave! And on top of that the food here was mediocre so our visit was very much disturbing and I would not recommend coming here.
