Host Meredith was a breath of fresh air. She was so nice when she greeted me and she opened the door for me when I left. She made me feel right at home

I can’t believe they changed the salsa. I’m sure they will change the store brand too!!! Talking with the waitress seems all my favs are being removed. Good luck but this is my last time. 45 year customer. All the Pappas restaurants have made changes they effect who the founder created (Pete). Bbq sauce is not original, Greek salad prepared at the table changed. Steak house removed my favorite salad dressing steaks are subpar

My husband got the El Papi platter and I got the build your own platter. I had a soft taco, 2 enchiladas and empanadas. The taco beef was so spicy I had to drink milk with it. Empanadas were old, hard and had very little filling. The Quesso given to us was so spicy out heads were wet with sweat. My husband's platter was also way too hot. We normally really enjoy On The Border the food is not usually like this. But this time it was a very unpleasant experience for $48.00. it will be a while before we order again.

Our party was 8 for a birthday dinner on Sunday at 5:00. I’m going to rave about our waiter, Joseph, who took great care of us and met all our special requests! All the staff were amazing and friendly, the manager even checked in on us. I highly recommend this location! They have a very good menu and variety of options. Everyone said their selection was great! We plan on coming back from Rockwall, the drive only took 20 minutes!! Worth the drive. Thank you!

There is a new sheriff in charge of this chain. It is no longer being drained dry of quality and soul by private equity firms who ran it into bankruptcy. Fortunately for the dining public the Pappasito's group saw an opportunity to expand their Tex-Mex footprint under a different, but familiar name and bought it. These are restaurant people, not finance people. They have high standards for the restaurants under their control and that now extends to the On the Border chain. I waited until I heard from others that improvements had been made. And they were correct. The food is so much better! It's not Pappasito's quality because they aren't charging Pappasito's prices. But it is now better than most of the Tex-Mex chains in the Dallas area. Hard to do in an almost 40 year old brand. Our server was Forrest and he did a fantastic job from start to finish. Ordered the Gran Papi entree since it was a sample of about everything they serve. Each item was really good. The tortilla soup was excellent. Full of flavor and goodies. On the Border had become one of those chains that I used to go to and had become just part of the landscape as I drove by. I see it much differently now and can't wait to go back to try other menu items.
