  Today’s visit to Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar was more meaningful than I ever expected. Normally on St. Patrick’s Day I stay home. It’s my mother’s birthday, and since she passed, the day has always been difficult for me. My children are on spring break and convinced me to get out of the house today, thinking Lazy Dog might be having their usual family activities and ice cream sundaes. I’ll be honest I wasn’t in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit at all and didn’t even wear green. Then our waitress, Ladonna, approached our table with the biggest smile and a bright blinking clover necklace that instantly lit up the moment. Her energy was joyful, welcoming, and genuine. Within minutes she had completely shifted the atmosphere for our table. Even my kids noticed the difference in my mood. She paid attention to the small details, noticing I wasn’t wearing green and bringing us festive beads so we could still join in the celebration. She offered great menu suggestions and checked on us with a level of care that truly stood out. During our conversation I shared that today was my mother’s heavenly birthday and that her kindness had already made the day easier. She then shared that it was also her grandmother’s heavenly birthday. That moment created such a sincere connection it didn’t feel like a typical dining experience. It felt like meeting an extended member of the family. Because of Ladonna, what is usually a very hard day became one filled with smiles, warmth, and gratitude. My children and I even talked about making Lazy Dog our new tradition for celebrating my mom’s birthday with Ladonna, bacon candy and feta dip. To Lazy Dog management: employees like Ladonna are what create loyal guests and memorable experiences. Her kindness, attentiveness, and spirit represent your brand beautifully. Thank you for hiring people who care and please make sure Ladonna gets the recognition she deserves.

  This place has truly become one of my tried and true places to eat out. I enjoy cooking at home, so I have a strict policy about my patronage to restaurants, but I never regret visiting Lazy Dog. It’s my favorite place to recommend locally because of their extensive menu, almost everything is handcrafted in house, they have a rotating drink menu, and they even have brunch! Everything here is TASTY and never misses. The staff has an amazing sense of hospitality; we always feel very welcomed and get checked on regularly throughout our meal. Whenever we want to sample something, the staff will go above and beyond to provide it, sometimes it’s comped even or they figure out a way that is cost-effective. They are very intentional and put the utmost care into everything they do. Truly, it’s a stellar place to visit, 10/10.

  I COME BEARING WONDERFUL NEWS FRIENDS ! Lazy Dog has been a staple in my go-to restaurants since I recently moved to the DFW 😩🙏🏻 (shout out to my sister for creating my addiction 🫶🏻) Showcasing a diverse menu that can suit any mood or craving while maintaining QUALITY and FLAVOR in each dish is hard to find, but Lazy Dog sees it as the bare minimum. The burgers are my absolute favorite, I tried the bison burger today and it was deliciousss. The layers of flavor are well done and as my intro to bison meat, I was not disappointed at all !! 🍔🍟 The atmosphere is a blend of comfy yet casual while embodying upscale service. I can’t wait to come back and try something new or something I love ☺️🍽️

  Our family went here for early Sunday dinner. We sat on the patio which was not too busy. There were spurts where we did not see our server for about every 20 minutes. Chicken sandwich was delicious and the chicken lettuce wraps were good as well. Most of the other items were very good. The only issue that we had were the fried items, that were way overcooked or at too hot of a temperature. For example, the cheese curds which unfortunately did not get a picture of or cook so hot that they were mainly empty, the cheese had Oozed out and became burnt black bits all over them. Additionally, the tater tots were very hard and only the very center was soft. Difficult to enjoy, when the food hurts your roof of your mouth.

  I have been sleeping on this place, but so glad that we decided to try it out today! The menu is a good size but everything that we got was amazing. Two burgers and an Ahi Tuna Salad. But let’s talk apps for a bit! The homemade chips were amazing as were the cheese curds, but the show stopper was the Bacon Candy! I will dream about Bacon Candy. I would highly suggest trying this place out and asking for Hannah when you do because she is an awesome waitress that made sure our first experience at Lazy Dog will keep us coming back.
