Went hoping for a great seafood/steak dinner. Waiter forgot my gumbo , and when my husband's steak came out it tasted as if the entire bag of salt had been poured onto it. They took it back and waiter said that they tried it and it was indeed way too salty. We appreciated them replacing it only for the new one to come out after I was done eating and this new filet mignon steak was flaky and dry my husband couldn't even eat it all. I had a seafood platter and my shrimp and salmon were both very dry and over cooked as well being tougher to chew. Crab cake was fenominal but huge disappointment for a $115 dinner to not even be eaten. And partially tossed out.

WOW! Fresh oysters on the half shell are the best I have ever had! And I have had plenty in my time.
My wife got fish and chips, and I got the ribeye steak. Both were amazing!
The place looks pretty fancy when you walk in. People dressed very well, and some in shorts and tank tops. This is a great place to dress up for a date. But relaxed enough for shorts.
You won't regret coming here. A bit spendy, but well worth it.
Went here with one of my friends on a spring break trip to Galveston. This was, by far, some of the best food I've ever eaten. I got a filet Mignon that was cooked perfectly rare. My friend got the lobster and both were excellent. We even ended up ordering dessert. Drinks were excellent and reasonably priced.
Our server was Shane, who provided outstanding, notable service. He always made sure that our drinks were refilled and that the food was to our liking. We were able to make jokes to each other and he enhanced the experience.
While the food is certainly a bit expensive, it is well worth it if you're on vacation or have a special occasion to celebrate. Cheers!

5 Stars! My girlfriend and I had a fantastic date night at Landry’s Seafood House in Galveston, and our server Shane made it unforgettable. From the start, he was incredibly attentive and professional. We split the fresh Iceberg Wedge Salad, which was perfectly dressed with all the right toppings. I ordered the Grilled Mahi Mahi on the chef’s recommendation, and it was cooked to perfection—flaky, flavorful, and exactly what I wanted. My girlfriend got the Maple-Bourbon Glazed Salmon and couldn’t stop raving. The bread came out perfectly warm and crunchy right away, and our food arrived quickly with almost no wait time. Shane stayed on top of our drinks, offered great menu insights, and delivered supreme service with a friendly, fun personality. He really elevated the whole experience. If you’re visiting Galveston, definitely ask for Shane—he’s the real deal and the highlight of our meal!

Very prompt and friendly service- the food however is far from good. Gumbo tasted only of beef bouillon and chewy sausage scraps. The fish and shrimp was fine (it’s fried food, hard to get wrong), but the onions rings were soggy and flavorless. The mocktails (black cherry palmer?) were well priced and tasty. The view of the sea is nice but the patio faces onto a main roadway so the sounds of waves and seabirds are drowned out by the whoosh of cars driving by. Between that, the music playing, and the loudness of rainforest cafe next door, it’s just not a vibe. Maybe it’s different in the evening? In any case, despite the excellent service I would not return.
