  I had such a great experience thanks to our waitress, Giselle. From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made sure everything was perfect without ever making us feel rushed, and she checked in at just the right times. Her positive attitude and warm personality really stood out and made our meal so much more enjoyable. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. I would absolutely come back and hope to be served by her again!

  Joe’s Crab Shack is basically a full-on seafood party - and we showed up ready to get messy 😄... The drinks were ice-cold (honestly, doing the Lord’s work in Texas heat), and the crab boils came out steaming like they had something to prove. Between cracking crab legs, buttery fingers, and trying not to fling shrimp across the table, it was chaos in the best way. Everything was flavorful, fun, and just the right amount of over-the-top. It’s not the place you go to stay neat - it’s the place you go to laugh, eat way too much, and leave smelling slightly like seafood… but totally worth it. Would definitely crack crab legs and sip cold drinks here again 🦀

  Haven’t to been a joes in years and this location was amazing !!! The food and the service were really great !! We sat outside and despite it being really windy it was a good time !! Even the manager came to every table outside to check and make sure everything was going good !! Food was delicious and the quality of food was more than I expected !! Highly recommended and will definitely be back !! 6 STARS!!

  Let me start off by saying, this place has potential to be great however… my honest review, Joseph our server was phenomenal! I couldn’t rate him higher, our drinks “Shark bite” and “Category 5” as well as our appetizer “Shrimp and crab dip” was really good, and came out in a timely manner. now for the down side.. our main food. My honest review, the price was high and the portions were so small! we’ve never been before and honestly we won’t go back, the boil was not only high priced but honestly so overcooked that it was just mush, couldn’t peel the shrimp and the sausage was tough.. potatoes on the other hand were still hard. I’m not sure what was happening at the front of house, a 15minute wait.. which is fine, I sat up the notification to alert us when our table was ready. Next, the servers seemed confused about seating and even began arguing about which tables were available then I had overheard a family who had booked a reservation and still weren’t seated in their correct time. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, it was truly disappointing The manager attempted to make rounds to everyone on the outside patio however we couldn’t find the words to express our disappointment.

  Took my family to eat here for dinner as we’re on spring break. I’ve been here before and loved it in the past that we wanted to come back again when we came back to Galveston. We’ve been here multiple times and loved the atmosphere, the staff, and sitting on the patio watching our kids play on the playground. I won’t come back again after my previous experience here. We waited on the patio for 15 minutes before being greeted or even acknowledged by any staff, we figured out everything we wanted and kids wanted before even being greeted. The reason we stayed is because the kids were busy playing, but everyone was very hungry after spending the day at the beach. As we were fixing to leave to go enjoy dinner somewhere else a waitress came up to ask if we’ve even been acknowledged and I let her know not in 15 minutes we haven’t. She apologized made sure she could take the table by asking the hostesses out of someone else’s section.. she came back 5 minutes later and took our order and did apologize for us waiting so long and thanked us for staying. We ordered everyone’s food and drinks all at once to make sure the kids were fed especially. She came back later with two waters as we had to wait on the bar for other drinks and the kids drinks (the shark nibblers). She came back over 5-10 minutes later with the drinks from the bar and let us know our food was in as well that she was taking care of other tables. We got our food later on after everyone else outside that sat after us. We definitely understand it’s spring break but we went on a Wednesday when it’s not the weekend when it usually gets hectic for spring break. Our food came out and the kids enjoyed their food and were finally satisfied. We got our appetizer that was good besides the chips being completely stale. We got our crawfish it wasn’t spicy: the manager did come by and told us sorry for the wait and I mentioned we were definitely irritated with the wait and we were all very hungry as we spent the day on the beach. We also made it known to him about the crawfish not being spicy and he brought us a sauce out to try with it. The server being gone at over 10 minutes increments and the wait being long to be served anytime in between made us want to leave and not be there any longer. We spent over 2 hours didn’t finish our crawfish or majority of our appetizer we got to go boxes and got everything to go to get out of there. The manager was nice and we don’t expect hand outs nor complained about the server we ended up with, but we should’ve been accommodated after the entire experience. We know how much we will spend going here and were okay with it. We even bought the membership the manager and server offered us as well. We usually would give another chance to a restaurant;,but won’t be going back after the food was not good and customer service was bad including the wait times: every server and manager saw us sitting there the many trips they made to other tables and luckily the server that stepped into to try to make things better. I believe she was already overwhelmed with alot of tables and we have nothing against her. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and understand things happen, but it was truly an awful experience.
