  Outdoor Happy hour was amazing!! With three different menus (restaurant, happy hour, bar eats), there were so many delicious choices. I wanted to try them all! Staff were wonderful, drinks were exquisite, atmosphere was luxurious, all while feeling relaxed and cozy. What an experience!!

  We are frequent visitors to Galveston and have never been to Willy G’s. Our first experience was absolutely amazing. We sat on the back patio and it was serene. The food was sooooo good. Great flavors, good portion sizes, and the wine list is great as well. Leaving the best for last our server JJ was out of this world! Best service we have had in a LONG time! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and great to talk to! He recommended some food to us and hit the nail on the head! He talked very highly of the other staff and the owner as well! We will definitely be going back next time we are down there!

  We visited Willie G’s on December 13th during our two-day stay in Galveston before a Disney cruise, based on our Uber driver’s recommendation. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The food was bland and completely lacked seasoning. On top of that, it was overpriced with no clear reason—changing a side (even from fries to a baked potato or mashed potato) costs $10. I have literally never encountered such a markup for swapping sides. You could tell they were hard up to make a buck. Our server (wish I could remember her name) seemed annoyed and provided minimal engagement, which didn’t help the experience. Honestly, if this is your only option for dinner in Galveston, it might be better to just skip it. Stay hungry. Definitely not worth the hype or the cost.

  Had an awesome daytime late lunch. Ordered off of the bar menu and the happy hour menu. Got the shrimp and oyster combo, the 3 ounce surf and turf, the seafood dip and the calamari. We enjoyed all of these dishes. Also had a bloody Mary, margarita, chocolate martini & a lemon drop. Martini. All drinks were delicious. Topped it off with the dessert treats, which was four small sizes of a chocolate dessert, Keylime pie, cheesecake and bread pudding. Icing on the cake was our server Jamie. She was delightful and very attentive.

  Very impolite service at the front desk. Surprised that such a restaurant would treat guests of different color with such disrespect and attitude. The ladies at the front desk stared down at a guest when they asked politely where the restroom was and the same ladies spoke in a demeaning tone when the guest asked about the wait at the table. Even if there was misunderstanding, there was no need to speak in a mean way. It was not needed. A very disappointing memory of Galveston. There are many more restaurants that look at you and serve you with more respect than this one. We found a better restaurant with a better experience.
