Rudy’s BBQ in Frisco is truly a hidden gem—gas station BBQ at its absolute best. Whether I’m stopping in early in the morning or grabbing something quick later in the day, this place never disappoints. One of my favorite things to get is their brisket breakfast taco. The brisket is always tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoky, and they wrap it up in a warm tortilla that hits the spot every single time.
What really sets this Rudy’s location apart is how fast and efficient they are. Even when the line looks long, it moves quickly, and you’re never waiting more than a few minutes. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it an easy go-to when I want something delicious without spending a ton.
The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a classic Texas BBQ joint—laid-back, friendly, and welcoming. Their iced tea is some of the best around, always fresh and perfectly brewed. And the fixings bar is great for customizing everything just the way you like it. I’m also a huge fan of their BBQ sauce; it has that perfect balance of tangy and slightly sweet that pairs amazing with their meats.
All around, this Rudy’s is a fantastic spot for quick, quality BBQ. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s absolutely worth a stop.

Remember when Rudy’s used to have the best breakfast tacos in town. Full of fluffy egg and big chunks of smoked meats overflowing out of the tortillas! Well like every restaurant they’ve decided to ruin that and get cheap on ingredients, and now they dice the meat and of course use hardly any of it to the point you can barely taste it and maybe a 1/4 of an egg in each. I have given it 3 visits of a few months to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. But nope! I guess that’s also why there is no more line of course waiting in the drive thru for them to open . Anymore. So sad. Gotta find a new place for breakfast tacos.

Take out is consistently bad. We’re either missing food or the food we get is poor quality. Paid almost $90 tonight for brisket that was not edible. We’ve called to let them know when we’re missing items in the past and they promise to send gift cards which never happens. The quality has gone way down over the years. Super disappointed as we’ve been Rudy’s fans for a long time but can’t do it anymore.

Food is very good, However the price not so much for a bbc sandwich, small beans, and iced tea $16. 75 this is not a big sandwich child size to me. How many sandwiches can you get out of a brisket 50 at this size that's $500.00 lets move to beans $3.00 for half cup. Fifty pounds of beans $8.00 now i realize they have to cook it and pay bills. But you don't need to tear my head off for cost of less than $100.00 they make over $ 1000.00

My wife and I stopped by for lunch last Saturday and absolutely loved it. We had the rotisserie chicken and turkey breast, paired with a cold beer — a perfect combination! Great flavors, casual vibe, and a true taste of Texas barbecue. We’ll definitely be back!
