I had the German sausage plate with a local pepper sausage (spicy!), knockwurst, and bratwurst, with sauerkraut (excellent) and German potato salad (not as good as Mom's but still pretty tasty). May be the best German food in Fredericksburg. Had a very enjoyable time visiting with friends. There was even a breeze. Thanks, Candy. Edit: I forgot to add Chef ... didn't meet him, but the dude has a signature. It's not just Order's Up! from the kitchen.

There was a pleasant acoustic guitar player singing songs which was enjoyable. The german sausage sampler and the cheese curds were pretty good. My chicken salad sandwich was tasty but pretty light on the chicken salad, kind of disappointing. My husband's salad was enjoyable. Place has an odd vibe, but maybe it's just me.
